Verner to get the start tomorrow night

    Based on how Verner played that post route it sure seemed like he was playing more of a zone and expecting someone to be in the middle. He basically let the WR inside which isn't something you do in man on man.

    On the slant pass he would have been beat if it was a good pass but that play is almost impossible to stop if the offense executes real well. Verner wasn't completely out of the play and even if it was a better pass he might have had a chance to get a paw in on it and break it up.

    On that quick slant, had the pass been further out in front of the reciever it would have hit Fuller in between the numbers. He was right there in what looked to be a zone coverage. That was perfectly covered by Verner.

    I wouldn't save it was perfectly covered. I would say either Anderson missed or Fuller forced him to throw it wide. Fuller was in perfect position.

    unfortunately though, Verner just got beat by the WR at the line on that play
