He's 33rd in overall pass attempts (both Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen have more than Vince).

Yet 2nd in completion % Hmmm.....

Yea its pretty frustrating Fisher won't let Vince throw more. He's looked solid on his throws and has only thrown 1 bad interception (the one Harrison picked he faked a blitz, stayed low and dropped back into coverage...Vince didn't even see him).

He's played great so far. The receivers have made the catches. Unleash Young and this offense will put up 20+ every game

Yeah it is frustrating. If Vince wasn't being effective when given the opportunity to throw then I'd have no problem with it. But as far as efficiency goes he's doing great.

    2nd in completion %
    12th in yds/att
    8th in QB rating

And that's including the horrible Pittsburgh game.

I'm getting my info from Yahoo. Either way 32nd, 33rd... it's pathetic.

Do you guys not realize that the coaching staff doesn't trust him to make throws? It's not as simple as just letting him throw more and expecting him to be successful. He has a high completion percentage because he's only allowed to make easy, high-percentage throws.

I see no reason to expect that the Titans would be successful if Vince passes the ball 25+ times in a game.

Do you think it possible that Jeff Fisher is satisfied with winning the games he is expected to win? Of course he would like to win them all. But he knows if CJ runs the ball,if we have good defense and clock management,it will usually give him a chance to win. Its a fluke if a Fisher team wins by a couple TD.s. Its like he wants to keep it close, run the ball and punt and try it again until it works.
And most of the time it does work against mediocre or less teams, but not against the elite.
It must have half tore his guts out to see Air McNair throw so much his Co-MVP season.Do you think he does this in hopes that each year he will win more than he looses?
There may be a lot of hidden things I dont know about, but in this age of the NFL, you better have an excellent defense if your offense is lacking.
The year Dilfer won, McNair QB'ed sneaked one in for the win, just to have it called back because of a Ravens defender being offside. Their defense barely won that one for them. I really believe the Titans win the SB that year if not for that play that was called back.

I agree with you. How is Vince suppose to be a better QB with only 2 passing plays in the Play-book? The coaching staff needs to get their heads out of their arse's and throw more. I'm not saying throw 30-50 times a game, but 25 attempts sounds reasonable enough to keep those defenses from stacking 7 on the line most of the time at least.

The league average is above 30. We would still be asking him to throw less than most QBs.

I don't know if you read my post, but I already basically said that the coaches don't trust him. That doesn't mean I agree. I see no reason that a 5th year QB can't throw the ball 20-25 times a game. That's not even asking that much of him.

Vince averaged 22 (21.6 to be exact) attempts per game and was 31st in the league behind Jamarcus Russell. Russell had a reason not to throw much... he's the one of the worst, if not the worst QB of all time. Vince needs to be making more throws.

We have no balance on offense. Run, run, run, and when they expect it the most, run!.

What can you do when it's 3rd and long and the opponent is supposed to think pass, but realizes that your coaching staff has no confidence in your QB to make a throw (they know a HB draw is coming)? RUN dammit! And then punt dammit!
