I ate the "LenDale" burger at Randy's in Trenton, Ga.

I ate every bit of this 24 ounce monster yesterday afternoon.

 

They actually have a 48 ounce version. It's not a double rather just a huge patty. You have to phone it in 24 hours ahead of time so they can bake a special bun for it. They serve it on a pizza pan. If you can finish the $22 dollar monster it's free. Just once though. They can't have someone making a habit of eating free. I also think there is an official 30 minute limit on it though I think that rule is loosely enforced. I'm not up the the 48 ounce challenge. I barely survived this burger. It had me on the ropes. I managed to "will" it down, sheer determination. Now I'm in an "elite" club of good 'ole boys on Randy's wall of fame at the foot of Sand Mountain.

The burger itself was really a pretty good value. It was only $12. Funny thing though, after I ordered it the waitress had the gall to ask me if I wanted fries with that. Yeah, I'll take a small picnic basket of French fries and a five gallon bucket milk shake... Also, I thought the up-charge for bacon was pretty funny. It was $1.50. It was probably 6 strips of bacon. Like I needed that on top of a pound and half of ground round!

So yeah, I'm kind of into food challenges. I recently passed the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' Challenge. That was fun. I drank a beer list at a Tavern and got my name on a plaque. It's not exactly the triple crown but it's as close as I'll ever get.
