Anyone who finds this to be a negative addition is just splitting hairs. THERE IS NO DOWNSIDE TO THIS AT ALL.

    We get him for cheap

We have a downfied threat to help CJ

Our other receivers now have space in the middle

Less defenders in the box mean less guys for losers like Eugene Amano to block

Moss already said he will report and his agent said he is excited

If he doesn't like being here we can just cut him

He is not a cancer in the Locker Room, if he was then why would Vikings players be disappointed by his release? Even KErry Collins who dealt with the troubled Moss in Oak has said he's a great teammate.

He can mentor our younger guys because whether you admit it or not, he's a leader.

If we let him go after the season, We get a Compensatory pick(at least a 3rd rounder)

Quit trying to hate on every little thing, this will be a win-win for us. He plays well, we have a great receiver. He doesn't and leaves, we get another high draft pick. No downside.

because you are comparing Cook to a great TE which he isn't. He is the #3 TE for a reason

And which TE did I compare him to? I just said the guy is legit, and he is. He has the skillset to be a baller. Antonio Gates isn't known for his run blocking. Neither was Tony Gonzalez. You don't bench players that have the ability to take over games, it just makes no sense. He had a 30 yard catch and what should have been a 50 yard catch in the Chargers game (he dropped it, bad play). The dude was wide open both times he got the ball thrown to him and when he caught the first one he showed some burst. Just like he does everytime I see him play. That's all I was saying.

Start Stevens, move cook to second, and bench Scaife's useless . wtf has he done since we franchise tagged him?

while i don't agree that Cook is some elite TE, yes he has skillsets. But he has to be a decent blocker at least. As far as Scaife. He's solid. But imo Stevens and Cook have more upside over him. Scaife is just a guy that knows the offense.

My only regret so far is that Fisher said Moss would be a "Threat" and "open things up underneath."

    Moss is more than that.

    He's a weapon.

He needs to be used as a first option. He's no decoy. And when he is a decoy, you know what happens. And when he is a weapon, you know what happens too.

Fisher needs to immediately change the message from threat to weapon.

Kudos for posting the facts. To the OP. Why would you compare to the 2000 Rams? The two highest scoring offenses in NFL history are the 1998 Vikings and the 2007 New England Patriots. The common denominator? Randy Moss

He's got potential, but hasn't proven, at all, that he's legit.

Your right, bringing in a reciever never makes a team all of a sudden become superbowl contenders like with Dallas and Cinci. ... BUT there is a big difference in this case. We have all the other pieces in place. Coaching, Defense, Run game, and even the passing game has been looking really good the last 2 weeks. Dallas and Cinci are missing at least one if not more of those.

We didn't bring in Randy Moss to be our savior and save our season like the Vikings did. We were probably going to make the playoffs anyway, but bringing in Randy just makes us better, there is no denying that.
