When it's in the contract between owner and HC that the Fisher has final say roster decisions I'd say it's actually far worse than meddling. Breech of contract.

And as far as how Vince responds to different coaches, it sure looks like it's across the board...

Young's maturity has improved, but not nearly as much as the company line coming out of Baptist Sports Park would have had you believe. He can still be super sensitive to criticism, as evidenced by his sarcastic wave for fans to boo him louder on Sunday. Plus, coaches and teammates are always hesitant to levy even small amounts of public criticism toward him, out of fear of how he might react.

A case can certainly be made that Young is more interested in the celebrity and perks that come with being an NFL quarterback than the actual work and the responsibilities that come with the job description.

But not all this is on Young, either. The Titans are not without blame here. Young has been coddled and catered to many times since he arrived in 2006, leaving the team in the role of an enabler or co-dependent

You think Shanny is Snyder's puppet? Ha, see exhibit A: Albert Haynesworth.
Parcells got out of Dodge so fast that he left a few oversized sweaters in the Ramada..

I dont know about you guys, but yes jeff should go, and yes Vince should go. BUT IF I had a choice, I would take Jeff over Vince any day of the week. Vince is a unpredicatable QB. Jeff is well, jeff.

As I said in another thread, John McClain said that is actually not in Jeff Fisher's contract. Perhaps he's wrong though. I really don't know. But I would think that if that was actually in the contract then Fisher would've used that card by this point.

Still Jeff Fisher's coaches though. Yeah I know, sounds like a lame comeback. And I'll admit that it is to an extent. But I think there is something to that. I'm really not trying to take up for Vince here. I wish we'd just move on from QB and HC. But I don't think it's too out there to think that a fresh start with a new staff could lead to a new and improved Vince Young. He has some growing up to do either way though.

Kyle Shanahan is probably too young, but he is the youngest OC in the NFL and has been an OC for Houston and now with his dad in Washington and was a Senior at UT Vince's redshirt freshman year, so I am sure he would love the opportunity.

I would think that any prospective head coach would probably want to meet with Vince before taking the job. I think Vince's argument would be that he was frustrated that the coach did not have his back and he was frustrated with losing and not getting the opportunity to play and try to lead his team to victory. I think many coaches could at least respect the sentiment, but have a heart to heart about his behavior even in light of that frustration. He is an ultra-competitive guy and not playing and losing hacks him off.

My experience with people you have to walk on eggshells around is that it applies to everyone they deal with. It never goes away.

Bud Adams will never let Fisher go to a Texas team... Remember he loves sticking it to them and that is why he is so in love with Vince... Adams doesn't even care if VY is any good. He just expects Fisher to win the Super Bowl with him. Bud just wants to tell everyone in Texas that he has the guy they don't. Well it would be ok if VY was actually worth bragging about. Putting Fisher to the side, VY is still not a great QB that deserves to act like he is.

Unfortunately at this point I feel like the Titans have a better chance of reaching higher levels with a new coach and Vince Young than with Jeff Fisher and a new QB. If the organization has to choice one or the other.

I want to see what this offense does the rest of the season with Vince out of the picture. If we suck, then get rid of Fisher. If we are scoring >24 pt/game, then keep Fisher and send Vince packing.

Right now, my money is on Fisher being able to produce as a professional now that his hands aren't tied by an adolescent-minded starting QB.

It appears as though all of the "Fisher Haters" are about to get their wish. But, as I've repeated to everyone of them more than once, "Be careful what you wish for. Because you just might get it." :sad2:

Well, it looks like you're all about to get it.
