    you are wrong

brees sucked until they drafted rivers. then brees played great. they didnt give him much time there. drafting rivers looked like a bad move until brees tore up his shoulder making the decision easy.

sean payton just saw that brees could still play at a high level

Ok i was mistaken on why Brees was let go. But that is not the subject of my post. He still went to NO and Sean Payton said im gonna let you hep me build this offense.

That's not how it works and clearly you know that. QBs go where they are drafted. No one is going to pull an Eli Manning just because of Jeff Fisher. Come on...

LOL....I was wondering how long it would take for the "Fisher knew he was mic'd up, so he held his tongue" argument to come out....

I don't think I said that any coach wanting "total control of all coaching and personnel" would not come here after Bud's Coke song moment (although that is true also). My point is that any credible coaching candidate would not come into a situation where the Owner (whether through blind loyalty, senility, or whatever) backs a player with questionable at best leadership abilities over the coach. That is not just a request of "superstar" coaches, that is a request of any coach who knows what it takes to coach a large group of players, IMO.

If this is the DISmantling of the the organization, I and most Titan fans will take it.

After all the MANTLING of the organization only brought us 17 years of losing

Statements like this only crack me up. Any decent coach will jump at the chance to coach this team WITH vince as QB

Fisher is the only coach not to outright FIRED in the history of the league that bends the talent to his coaching style, Instead of bending his coaching style to fit the talent he has. All good (let alone Great coaches) Bend thier coaching style based on what talent they have. That's how we know Fisher is NOT a good coach. Any good coach will jump at the chance to coach this talent.

Your statement makes it sound like VY sucked this year. Until the "FISHER BLOW UP" (that's what i'm calling it because this whole thing stemmed from the fact that Jeff refuses to respect Vince) Vince had the highest passer rating in the NFL. Not Brady, Not manning.

Please see page 6 of this thread for my opinion on Fisher and Young. My argument has nothing to do with player talent, it has everything to do with control of the team. At no time have I said that VY sucked this year...in fact I have said pretty much the opposite. That being said, he is lacking in both leadership and maturity, as strongly evidenced last week.

Also, how does not playing an injured player after he is injured "disrespecting him"???? Fisher had a game to coach, and did not have time to continue being VY's mommy after he was hurt.

I don't think so. I mean, it would be a big red flag if this coach had developed any sort of impressive record in those 16 years, but he hasn't. Bud stepped in and stopped Fisher, Reese and Chow from picking Lienart and that now looks like a wise decision. He stopped Fish from continually pushing a failing KFC in a failing game plan- also a good decision. It's very possible that real-life actual GOOD coaches and coaching prospects saw both of these moves as the right thing to do and thus Adams is a REASONABLE owner, because those are the only two instances of "meddling" you have.

Now, I'm not sure what the truth is on this, but I keep reading here from some credible posters that McNair was being stifled in the offense for quite some time before someone took Fish's leash off. Judging from what I know of the Fish game that makes sense to me and is yet another big red flag that maybe VY isn't so much a headcase as someone who hates being stifled. He played lousy early on, and with Chow's failed WC offense it's easy to see why; McNair couldn't play it, Volek couldn't play it and KFC couldn't play it but Vince is somehow the only one who gets singled out as incompetent because he's easily frustrated and lets people know about it. Maybe it's because I'm a bit headstrong myself, but I don't think of rejecting failure as being 'hardheaded', 'immature' or 'insubordinate'.

Some of you need to understand that Fish is Marty Schottenheimer Lite. Quite often in every season you post here- after winning games- that you're "happy for the win, but we won't survive the post-season playing like that!" And you're right: Ball control, clock management and defense rarely wins post-season games. So why would anyone be defending a hardheaded coach who immaturely refuses to abandon a losing scheme?

sounds like Fish can throw his tantrums about Vince and bench him; but ultimately, it will be the FO that decides.
