Is he a feature back or is he a part time back? Those plays worked wonderfully the last 2 years why not now?

You have to be able to run off tackle! You can't just run sweeps all the time.

 

True, but I say we try to run sweeps at least some of the time.

Does Fisher even know what a sweep or reverse is? I don't expect that at all, I doubt any of us do. Defenders play contain, running to the outside feeds into defenses strengths now. But running your 5'11" 199 pound guy with incredible speed and balance inside 40% of the time is not the best idea IMO. Put the guy outside to catch a ball for crying out loud. Last year we saw this once, and C.J. burnt the opposition for a 60+yard TD. Move C.J around and make them find him.

Nice reverse in the texan game sunday before we established the run to nate! Running coach, gives star back 7 carries and lets rookie throw it 31, in tight game, on the road.

 

Why would you even equate the two? Everytime we run a sweep CJ has to be superman just to get back to the line.


And again for the 500th time Fisher doesn't game plan the offense and he doesn't call the plays. That's Dinger's job. At least it was..

So if nothing shows up in the papers, it hasn't happened? Does anyone really know how Bud operates? The man may be old and looks senile, but the reality may be quite different. We haven't a clue what goes on behind closed doors. And there were likely a long closed door meeting after Sunday's game!

 

F***in' A! I'm an amateur in the coaching department but you would think that somebody (Fisher/Dinger) would at least try lining him up out wide. Especially with Randy Moss on the field. Line em up on opposite ends and let defenses pick who they wanna cover. That would let Nate fly under the radar and do some damage of his own.
