If we sign someone like McNabb, I think we need to look for a West Coast offense HC first...that has been his offense his entire career (until this year), and he has struggled in DC with the new playbook.

    Mariucci??? Just a thought.

Offensive playbook aside, I agree that Donovan would be a good role model for VY...he was for Vick last year IMO.

I would want nothing to do with Big Boy...let him fade off to anonymity with his big paycheck (whats left of it).

I think McNabb is a good QB who has a little mileage left in his tank. He's certainly not playing at the level he once was, but I think he can be very productive and accurate when given time behind a decent O-line.

Perhaps more importantly, I think he's a classy guy who handles adversity well. That is something VY should learn about. Remember, McNabb has dealt with an unsupportive coach who doesn't hesitate to bench him and thinks he doesn't have the "cardiovascular endurance" to run a two-minute offense all season. IMO he's handled it well, unlike VY.

In spite of all the questions about who ought to QB the Titans and the fact that I'd be happy to have McNabb, I don't see him ending up here. The franchise doesn't have a good track record with aging QB's.

And for the record, I don't want Haynesworth here any more either. At times this season I was in favor of bringing him back, but ultimately I don't think he's worth the risk and baggage. He's another egomaniac who hasn't handled adversity well. The team is better off drafting and coaching up a young DT.

I don't want Haynesworth either...I'd rather see us draft Nick Fairley out of Auburn....my perfect offseason would be Gruden as our HC...Fairley as our 1st round pick, with McNabb brought in to compete with/mentor Vince. Vince has all the talent in the world, but there are things he needs to learn. In my honest opinion Vince should be gone, but I don't think it will happen, so a veteran needs to be brought in.

If VY ain't learned anything yet, he ain't gonna. I don't care who you bring in. Why do people to think that the Titans should go get people to be a "good influence" for him? Come on, that is what you attempt to do for a troubled child. Which by years VY is not.

Then who would be next when McNabb doesn't fix him? Then after that?
And how many coaches? When does it stop? Hell, it shouldn't even be an issue at this point. This is stuff you get over in High School.

At some point he's gonna have to fish or cut bait. However, in this case it's not appropriate for him to be around fish hooks or knives.

Unfortunately I think you're right in that Bud will put us through another season with both Fisher and Vince, unless by some divine miracle Fisher asks to be traded or released.

If Fisher is gone and Vince stays then I say no McNabb. I'm a huge fan but I don't like the idea of him kicking knowledge to Vince. I don't see that working out well at all.

If Fisher stays and Vince asks to be traded or released then I would definitely want McNabb. We could get him and then either bring along Rusty or take one in the draft.

If both are gone then I'd want us to go after the best QB available whether that be trade or moving up in the draft to get em.

Let me assure all of you, being a Washington, D.C. native and thus being able to watch all of the Skins game by pure convenience, that Donavon McNabb will not help this team.

The guy is more mistake prone than he was in Philly. He can't make all the throws anymore, his accuracy even within 10 yards is borderline bad at times. His mobility is limited now, and his decision-making under pressure has been very poor at times.

He is not a steady presence on the field. Probably a decent guy in the locker-room at this point, but he is not a viable answer in any other area.

Well he has to be better than Collins.

I think in ONLY this circumstance would in be positive for us. Both Fisher and Young are gone and we need a vet who has had some success and a good locker room presence for the team and most importantly, the guy we draft to be the new face of the franchise. I would welcome McNabb here but only for 2 seasons max. I would not ask him to take us to the Super Bowl, just to make the transition more bareable.
