Didn't Williams take a job with the Saints roughly around the same time Cecil signed with the Titans ? I could be wrong but I strongly remember many including myself wanting Williams hired..

    How about Dave McGinnis ?

I'm not joking about that, I honestly see Wade being hired by Adams if he fires Fisher.

i love and hate fisher.i do think hes a good head coach, but after sometime with only 8-8 seasons you HAVE to look in another direction.my only concern is picking kerry over vince.now i love vince but not a vince obseser.hes great and can be a HUGE player for us.but fisher did do him wrong how ever you wanna look at it.he doesnt treat him like a pro STARTING qb should be treated.you dont see around the league you starter being benched so much that has done so much good for you.there is so much to the story with FISHER AND YOUNG that is def. not being told.both are wrong at times but in order to move forward one has to go.

im chosing fisher to go hes had his time hes had GREAT PLAYERS and still no rings.now im not saying hes not capible but times up time to move on we have a good team that another coach that hadles things differant can come in and work with.i dont get a 4-5 year change period that some fans think.we have a good team and with the right direction we could bounce back SOON.

now for the main queston theres really not to review but as to how many rings do we have.none so after 16 years we dont have one well i think we should look in another direction.i do like fisher his players play hard for him so i would accept him as our coach if he didnt have personal choices for us because they suck.but thats not gunna change so we need to see what else is out there what is the worst that can happen we are a 5-8 team at this point........

Correct... but not close enough. Gregg Williams was hired by the Saints before Jim Schwartz was hired by the Lions.

Williams was hired by the Saints just a few days after our loss to the Ravens. Schwartz left for the Lions shortly after (don't remember exactly when). Cecil was not named defensive coordinator until a week or so after the Super Bowl.

    Trust me.

    God no.

I can count his "great" players on one hand...

    McNair
    George
    Wycheck
    CJ
    Bulluck

    That's it.

I'd add Mason and Rolle to that list....Mason could have been dominant with McNair if the offense had opened up a bit. I remember being at a Monday Night game against the Pats (the game where Kearse came back), and he just abused Ty Law. I don't know what his stats were, but he was open all night long, anytime they wanted it.

Before Jevon Kearse began getting hurt around 2004, he was an amazing player. But that's history, and in the end, he wasn't a great player. This review is also based on the past 2 1/2 years.

Payton took a paycut so the Saints could afford Williams.
