One thing I think is funny is when VY people say give him one year without fisher. Like that makes his work ethic and commitment level any better. He has had 5 years to prove himself. What other QB do you know of that got 5 years to prove themselves and then become something? I mean even Drew Brees figured it out after 3..... Time to go in a new direction. If that means without fisher then fine, but it has to be without VY also!

The thing about the tennesean is that most who check the sports portion of the site are Vol fans. Its not a bad thing, but consider that its a bunch of college football fans who also root for their hometown NFL team.

In college football, high profile coaches are celebrated as gods.

But those fans also would fire their coach for the same reasons we are crying for Fisher's head. The bottom line is that most who vote probably dont pay close attention to the Titans then.

NFL teams do not get 25+ draft picks a year. Getting rid of Young is a really, really, really, bad idea. Even if you dont like him as a starter. Hes alot better than rusty smith is as of now, and lightyears better than some scrub free agent backup.

Here's what the real question should be:

Who showed us this season they can be a valuable part of the organization?

Much, much easier to say Vince than Fisher.

A 6-10 season, a child-like management of a starting QB, and another 6-game losing streak is a lot less interesting than a 98.6 QB rating and 3.3-1 TD-INT ratio.

Even today, Fisher pulled an immature move not discussing Vince.

Look at Shanahan if you want to see how a real coach talks to the media about players they have problems with.

Young has been here for FIVE years....what has he done?

The only man that got us to the playoffs was COLLINS! ( Since VY has been here)

I am not saying Collins is the future of the Titans....but VY definately is not.

I am not surprised by the poll at all, especially the Vince side. I do not know a Titans fan, outside of this board that want Vince back. Most were ready to cut him after he quit on the team in the Jags game. After the way he played the 2nd half of last year, most were ok to give him one more season as a make or break year. While his play on the field showed growth, his actions did not. If he had handled what happened with the same class McNabb handled his situation when Shannahan benched him for Grossman, coming out and saying something to the tune of, "He's the coach, I may not always agree with his decisions, but he is the coach. I just have to be ready when my number is called again." Then I think most Titans fans would see that he had learned from his mistakes and forgiven him, and wanted Fisher gone. The problem is he didn't show any growth in the situation, he handled it the same way he would have 2 years ago. I believe that is what the senior officials will tell Bud as well. That regardless of what happens with Fisher, it's time to find a franchise QB. One that will lead by example.

When the going gets tough, Vince gets gone. And gone again when given a second chance. He's a quitter. Enough rationalization of Vince Young's immaturity.

Fisher has had 16 full seasons to bring home a Lombardi. That's longer than any other coach in the NFL. He's been given enough opportunity and control to make it happen.

It's time to scrap the whole organization and start over. Yes- lean years ahead for the Titans. Probably won't break .500 until 2015, but so be it.

Yeah, I just read that 3% and 4% of people think that you reduce the nation's deficit and debt by reforming Social Security and Medicare, respectively. Shows me the validity of public polls.
