I blame his O line too (but I can say this because I don't depend on them for my livelihood). If CJ said that he was being pretty stupid.

I don't doubt he was hurt, even in the Cow game when he broke away from the line he was caught from behind...that NEVER happened last year. Something was definitely amiss with him IMO.

I agree with the folks saying he needs to get more involved in the passing game next season, and we will need to find ourselves another L. Blount next season (and keep him this time) to provide more power running (and lower CJ's workload a bit).

Was it the O-line or CJ? I know I saw him get sacked behind the line of scrimmage WAY TOO MANY TIMES. Having games of 5 total yards and 7 total yards is PATHETIC.

He changed his game this year. He wasn't the same CJ.

I was shocked when they place Blount on waivers. Morons.

The Titans needed a heavy banger to spell CJ or run them both out of the backfield.

If that was Fisher's call... for that alone he should be fired.

He only had 1 game like that and it was 7 carries, 4 of them hit in the backfield. Not his fault.

Well if you saw the same games I did you would know what happened! The defense was in the backfield most of the season!

He had 1300 yards, top 5 in the league in rushing. How is that humble pie?

That's "I'm the best and I know it" Ice cream...

He was over 1,000 yards under his goal, that's how he is humbled. Many other backs shared carries, he had the highest percentage of his team's carries of any back in the NFL. We'd better have a 1,000 yard rusher or more as a run-first team that only uses one back.

Jamaal Charles had more yards than he did, and Charles got less than half of his team's carries..

Johnson had about 70 more carries than Charles.

An average joe back would have had 1,000 yards this year with that many carries. Johnson was slightly above average this year.

If Charles had gotten CJ's amount of carries, he would have gotten 2,000 yards this year, do the math.. But unlike the Titans, the Chiefs know how to make a running back last for more than 3-4 years (evidenced by Priest Holmes, and we love n' leave all our productive RBs)

CJ could have averaged 3.17 YPC this year and still gotten 1,000 yards.
His stats are blown out of proportion because he got so many carries.

Sorry to burden this argument with facts n' such, but the point I'm trying to make is that CJ was not anything special this year.

If the burden was split like it should have been, CJ would have probably had about 800-1000, and Ringer should have had 400-600 yards or so on the season.

(insert free agent name here) would have have at least 1100 yards this year, (3.5 YPC) given the same amount of carries as CJ.

    Can I get an amen?

Anytime you have a realistic goal of 2,500 yards, your not getting humbled no matter what. He's one of the best in the game, period.

Charles is no scrub, he's today's CJ of 2 years ago. I guarantee he'll sniff 1700-1800 yards next season when he gets the bulk of the carries. And a 4.3 avg isn't even that bad, its pretty good actually, anywhere northwards of 4.0 is good. Barry Sanders averaged 4.3 TWICE in his career.

I just don't see how rushing for 1300 yards, 4.3 avg, and 11 TD's with our crapshoot offensive line and the QB carousel is bad..
