Like I said earlier, Vince does have shortcomings. Winning games is just not one of them.

You can twist the stats however you want. I go by the "eyeball" stat, and my eyeballs say VY sucks.

He did nothing but stall this franchise for 5 years. I am so glad he is finaly gone.

There should be a Parade in Nashville to celebrate him getting a boot up the arse.

the point is fisher had to put his blame on somebody and it was young,so young got the bad deal.lets see young only played 1 whole season in 07,went to playoffs.dint play after week 1 in 08,didnt play in 09 untill the second half, didnt play in 10,after 7 games, thats another half season.and 07 was with a new coordinator.

It's not a mathematical misconception though. It's just ignorance of the facts.

Are you really going to compare Young to Brees?

Brees has 479 rushing yards in 10 years and averages 1.8 yards per cary.

Vince has 1380 yards in 5 years with 12 TD's all while averaging almost 5 yards per carry.

It's like comparing a single seat race car to a firetruck. One isn't necessarily better than the other... but for best results they need to be used to according to their strengths.

I feel that Fisher had been trying to pound the square peg into the round hole for 5 years. Honestly I thought this year was going to be the year.

Fish can't adapt and Vince needs to grow up. This year really sucked !!! Worst football year in a long time. So much potential and we pissed it all away.

    I didn't start that comparison.
A quarterback's job is to throw the ball. Running should be a bonus.
No, one is much better than the other.

The fact that anyone is trying to convince someone that Vince Young would be more valuable for any NFL team than Drew Bress shows how blind some people are.

Drew Brees got 658 Attemps this year with a 90.9 QB rating

Young got 156 Att(hindered by injury, but he wouldve barely cracked 300 if he was healthy) and had a 98.6 QB rating.

This goes back to my complaining that Fisher was not giving Vince the ball enough that i made early on. CJ(not vince)) was being rushed far more, even when it wasnt effective.

Career wise though, id go with you on that. Though if we were less run oriented we might have slowed the run blitz some. Which would have allowed CJ more room, and then that wouldve slowed the pass rush that got to young. And then this mess never happens. Just because Fisher wouldnt pu the game in youngs hands.......

Dont argue against the validity of that point, jjjust let me rage.

So you're going to take what may very well be an outlier year for Young, since he never had a rating over 83 before, and compare it to a year when Brees' rating was below his career average?

    Drew Brees > Vince Young.

I'm amazed anyone would question that. It's more ridiculous than when I had to try to convince CJtheBeast that Aaron Rodgers is better than VY. These comparisons are not even close. I would take every single one of the QBs Joe posted over VY in a heart beat.

Vince Young was not the guy defenses worried about when they played the Titans. If Vince Young beat a defense with a deep ball once a half they would live with that if it meant Chris Johnson didn't take over the game. Do you think Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers or any of the other QBs worth their salt get that type of treatment?

Anyone who thinks VY didn't have the talent to succeed at this level is delusional..
