I'm going to say this until it sinks in ... Bud Adams has already written off next season (one way or another)

 

He'll actually have a chance of winning a Super Bowl now. Good for him.

 

He said it was timing, he knows Fisher won't be back after next year ,so he's locking down a good job now and not waiting to be in limbo. Don't think he wants a promotion, just security.
I really believe Fisher just wants his 6.5 mill and not an extension either.

But if we do have to sacrifice next season for a franchise QB like Luck, I think I'd do it. How many of us wouldn't sacrifice a season to go back and draft Manning. Not saying that Luck will be as good as Manning, but I've heard people compare them.

If hitting rock bottom is what it takes to get a winning coach and francise QB, I'm for hitting rock bottom (ooh, I think I can see it from here!).
