    I can agree with that. I just don't think he'll get us over the hump though. I'd rather groom a new QB than to bring in a guy for 1 year who's not going to give us chance to win the division.

    There's just something about Palmer though. He's just not a winner. He hasn't won in Cincy even with better options at WR than we have (or used to have...Britt is a beast!!).

    I agree with you though that he'd be less risky than some of the others...I just don't think he'll get us to the playoffs (would love to be proved wrong though)

    He is a USC guy so Fisher would probably love to have him. I can definitely see this happening. I'd rather them cut him first because his contract is trash, I'd rather just keep Vince if we're gonna pay a guy that kind of cash.

    The Bengals team.. I think in '06, the one that won the AFC North, when Palmer tore his ACL or whatever, that team was hungry. I don't think that's the case anymore. 85 and TO obviously are all about themselves... I mean.. they each have a reality show. I doubt they're putting in the work with Carson to develop any kind of chemistry. I guess all I'm saying is that I think that if he has a hungry team around him that has a desire to win.. I think he would succeed.

    Good point. I think a change of scenery will definitely help him but I wouldn't touch this guy with that contract. That's WAY too steep a price to pay for a guy who isn't playing at an elite level.

    Name one Titans QB who has thrown for 4000 yards in a season?
    Palmer has done this four times.
    Is he Brees/Rodgers level? Hell no..
    Is he better than anyone on the current roster? Do I even need to answer this?

    People talk about Palmer falling off after his injury but the truth is that his best season was the year after the injury. His decline in numbers is directly related to the decline of The Bengals Oline (Rich Braham retirement etc).

    None of this matters anyway as Mike Brown is never going to trade Palmer. NEVER.

    Well ideally there would be one big "what scrub QB should we go for" thread. I had previously read Cruds statements that there was no chance Palmer would leave Cincy. After the NFL report though, I figured let the debate begin.

    You are not required to read every thread posted on the forum, so my suggestion would be to skip any threads regarding "scrub" QBs for our sucky team next year.

    Well, Mike Brown said he turned down Palmers trade request. It will be interesting to see if he retires now or not.
