Have you ever been around football? Yelling, cussing, tempers flaring etc. happens on a daily basis. Ever hear the story between Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi? Terry Bradshaw and Chuck Noll? John Elway and Dan Reeves? Buddy Ryan and Mike Ditka? Buddy Ryan and Kevin Gilbride?

What you and everyone else consider the best quarterbacks and leaders in the business hold these and oh so more deeds of the highest boy-scout quality: involvement in murder, rape, dogfighting, harrassing female employees, addiction to pain pills, throwing teammates under the bus like the o-line and run game, etc. not to mention we are keeping someone who told the cops he already smoked all the pot while sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle with his pregnant wife yet he is still on this team......correction, was brought back. Explain to me how all that is tied in with being a "Leader"? The answer is it doesn't matter. Sorry to burst your bubble. Its about winning and knowing you will always have a shot of winning in the end because of what the guy does ON the field. Vince gave that, proved that. He was voted C-A-P-T-A-I-N for a reason..... the off the field stuff is irrelevant. Saying it does matter makes you a hypocrite. Winning matters most at the end of the day. Wait, you don't want Ray Lewis, Big Ben, Micheal Vick, Brett Favre, or Peyton Manning on your team? Don't lie sir.....

Please tell me when a team has absolutely NOTHING to play for and decided to make snow angels during the game againist New England all of a sudden decides hey lets play...... maybe because it was Vince Young. If it only happened once, then maybe its just a coincidence. Problem is though it happened twice. He raised the Titans from the dead twice, with energy and good play. Signs of a leader.

So please go ahead and use a Billy Madison reference or counter with some lame reference to him quitting......last I checked he was clearing his thoughts before going out there after being booed by what are suppose to be his fans, not to mention the kid dealing with the loss of Steve McNair during that time. How the hell does that build morale Alex?

So go hangout in the rational fan forum and talk about us "VY LOVERS". I know what i saw and heard from the other players on that team.

Could you name me another story where a NFL QB in front of media and teammates after a game cussed out the coach and said "I'm quitting on you."?

Do you think any other coach in the league would have continued to start VY at that point?

It's always easiest to lump people in a group. Like many posters here, to disagree on a topic means you need to lie and embellish another's viewpoints. And for some reason you seem to want a divide amongst posters, as if we all need to be labeled in two groups.

I would sell my tickets (not psl's but tix) if Ray Lewis or Mike Vick were on this team. I'd LOVE for Manning to become a Titan. I've never liked Favre. I'm no fan of Ben Roethlisburger.

If you want to pretend that Vince's antics after the Washington game made no difference to team morale, that's your right. I don't buy that.

Please tell me when I've said different. Yeah, a large part of that was because of VY. Feel free to look at my posting history from that time and I'm pretty sure I made those statements. Yep, signs of a leader.

Too bad it didn't last and he did one of the most selfish, destructive things anyone could do to the Titans after the Washington game.

I'm gonna guess that you weren't at the game. I was. The fans chanted Randy loudly. Then after 2 more plays of not going to him and it becoming 4th down, the fans booed.

If you want to go with the VY martyr angle and think everything is 100% against him...... that's your right.

But it was booing against the offense's playcalling.

Vince putting his hands up and responding is just evidence of his immaturity. a 5th year professional should have no reaction to crowd noise in that type of situation.

Well, again, I go to games. I know what I've seen the last 5 years.

I've had enough with the divisive attitude and the potential that doesn't materialize for a full season.

Never said that. But again, if lying helps you feel you've somehow won an internet argument then more power to you.

You think Peyton Manning isn't a leader....

    :spit:

    High school.

You act like a NFL player cussing out a coach after a team loss in front of the media and then walking out on the coach and team happen every week in the NFL. Guess what, it doesn't.

It's not Fisher's first time to go to the media and blast a player. How long have you been a Titans fan? They were both to blame. Now they are both gone, just like they should be. I don't see how you can shift 100% of the blame to Fisher.

I thought leaders took responsibility.....not throw his teammates under the bus. Hell, the only reason he has a ring is because of his teammates. However, in the reagular season he does do his part but he does like to point that finger.

I'm sorry, but all it was "eye" accounts and nothing more. Not much to go on. No I'm not saying it didn't happen but stories tend to last longer in the media with audio and video. Fisher's comments is what ultimately blew this up. 85% fisher. And the point I am trying to make is vince was our leader......get over it. He didn't walk out on his team , he walked out on Fisher and the team knows that. It's pretty obvious. They know the real story between those two and thus they haven't said ONE SINGLE BAD THING about Vince. The team rallies behind the guy plain and simple. Doesn't matter if you like him, it matters if the team likes him.

Oh btw, didn't vince say "play me or trade me."? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well in the span of one week, espn can't even get our team's city right(it's not knoxville) and charles cassirley said absolutely no teams were even interested in vince and then retracted his comments to not as a starter. Charles very rarely gets it right the first time anyways. I see your Jamie Dukes and I raise you a Deion Sanders who said it wasn't right that Kerry Collins could make mistakes and nothing happen, but if Vince did, he was benched. Guess who is the future hall of famer? That was said in 2009. Fisher did it twice again this season. Vince had every single right to act the way he did, just not in front of the media for "pr" reasons. Vince deserves a pass for one year post-Fisher. Fisher has held him back and has dropped the ball way too many times in handling anything vince-related. For god sakes, he has been blasted for having what appears to be depression. Depression has nothing to do with toughness, booing (though it doesn't help) or even mental make-up. Its a chemical imbalance, plain and simple. Ask Terry Bradshaw. Hell ask me. I know three people with various levels of it, including one with thoughts of suicide.

p.s. you are lying about not wanting anying of those players on your team.:wink2:
