I'm gonna say best defensive player (Patrick Peterson or Von Miller would be best case scenario) in the 1st and take a QB (Mallett, Locker, or Ponder. One of them will fall to us) in the 2nd.

I have a couple of scenarios I would like to see. Peterson in the first followed by Dalton or Ponder in the second. I would have no problem if the Titans' drafted Mallet in the first somewhere...whether it ment trading down for value or having a top ten grade on him. One player I would love to see the Titans' get is Leonard Hankerson...Mallet in the first and Hankerson in the second is another scenario I would love to see.

Defensive player @ 8 and QB in the 2nd sounds good.

Patrick Peterson is 1st or 2nd on a lot of boards right now so it is unlikely we have any chance at him.

A lot of boards right now have Peterson and AJ green as the 2 top prospects with Fairley third.

The best defensive players likely there at 8 are Prince, Dareus and Miller. I just don't see the value in Miller that high and we dont have a great need for a CB. Dareus is a fine prospect but more of 10th to 15th type guy in my book.

Best player at 8 is Julio Jones.

    Jones @ 8.

Best defensive player in rd 2(Moch, Jenkins, Austin)

rd 3 to Denver for Kyle Orton

    Rd 4 best defensive player.

If we do go Qb with that top pick it should be Cam Newton. Then the best defensive players in rd 2 and 3.

Hankerson is an interesting possibility for rd 2 or 3. Depends on his combine but he is a big WR who was very productive at Miami.

Torry Smith is the third best Wr in the draft in my opinion so i would take him in rd 2 given the choice but Hankerson is an interesting guy.

    Defense for sure.

    Bowers
    Amukamara
    Patrick Peterson
    Robert Quinn
    Dareus

Hopefully we get one of those five in the 1st. 2nd round i'm hoping we get defense again either DT, LB, or SS. I'm hoping we can get Ponder in the 3rd round, but his stock is rising quick.

We should get the player they honestly think has the best chance to be a pro bowl caliber player. Not based on need or anything else.

Everytime we draft for need we get burned. Like in 2003 when we drafted a big Cb and a big fast WR because we suppoedly had the greatest need at those positions.

I like Quinn or Bowers more than miller because i'm not sure Miller is ideal as an OLB in our system. If we want another DE than draft one not a tweener that we hope can fit in.

Yes we need defensive players but we could sign a couple of good players in free agency if there is a free agent period. We could save $11M alone by releasing Hope and Haye and we will save $14M when we release VY.

We can't fix our defense with one draft pick. Get the best player!

The problem with that is we need defensive talent if we are going to compete this season. I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me that our D was the worst unit in football during the second half of the season. We have major issues on all four levels of our defense where as we have issues with the offensive line on the other side of the ball (obviously I'm not count QB as I think we will grab a veteran to start there).

I think people go over board with BPA sometimes. When we pick at #8 the best player may very well be Juilo Jones but right now the receiver position is not as valuable to our team. Jones would give us a big, physical receiver with the potential to be a top ten guy but that is we already have that in Kenny Britt. Then when you add in the fact that we only throw the ball roughly 15-20 times a game the amount of impact he can have on the game would be minimal. Jones would not stop teams from moving the ball on us at will.

Also I seriously doubt that we will bring in a lot of quality people in free agency (if there is one). We are the Titans. Our FO is in the Bahamas during the first few weeks of FA.
