Old school Oiler fans are you happy with current events?

Maybe Frank can coach the TEs and Blaine coach our secondary. THey still reside in Nashville and are both media savvy. Not much coaching experience but, hey, we had a guy with plenty of experience but we saw a lot of baggage and it didn't end well.

 

When I was growing up, my team was the Oilers since we didn't have a team in the TN. Then I moved to NE PA and became an Eagle fan because I think one should support the state team. Now, I am back to my young years. I feel like a 16 year old again!!! well, on a few days out of the month anyhow! Hey, we should adopt the theme music from "Back to the Future"!!

 

I can hear Munch tell these guys, "We're getting the band back together."

 

I think you could be onto something here. Maybe we'll run a West Coast offense now.

 

Munchak fired a guy with cancer, that's flat out cold. I love it! Go Munchak, get us where we want to be!!!!

 

I'm not an old school Oiler fan. I do wonder about all of the coaches with Oiler ties. Makes me wonder who is doing the hiring..the new coach or Bud

 

I really liked the hiring of Munch initially and everything since has only kindled my enthusiasm. The fact that he's bringing in some players from the franchise's past is pretty cool. Obviously when we're talking about bringing back former players to coach there has to be the caveat of competency, but hiring qualified, competent individuals who have a history with the franchise can only be a good thing. The bonus is that the hiring of Munchak will, i think, show former players that there is a place for them with the Titans. I know many ex-Oilers feel like they've been orphaned as players. I think they'd readily embrace the idea of being ambassadors for the team (in the way one sees ex-players on the sidelines and roaming the facilities of other NFL clubs). I've always thought the lack of identifying with the club's pretty rich history was unfortunate for many new fans of this team. Embracing and realizing this team's past adds layers and dimension to events that happen both in the present and the future. I don't think any games will be won or lost because people are more aware of the past but I certainly think it'll make being a fan a richer experience.

 

Mouse is ready to step in as the OC I guess.

I could see Cam Newton running this. He basically gives us another RB with CJ and they have a spread defense. Wouldn't mind seeing a little of the pistol formation as well.
