Everyone was so excited when we got Moss and he was a such a let down it wasn't even funny. Then again it's not his fault, we rarely threw it to him.

I atree with Eric that Moss could help the WRs as talent wise only Britt would be better right now. But without an OC all we really know is that under Hemidsfgdsdger/fish face Moss was a Non-Factor for the Titans.

Randy Moss is a deep threat WR. He's still fast, not elite speed as it was a few years ago, but what QB did we have that could throw it to a deep threat last year? Vince had a good deep ball but he just heaved it on deep throws really. Kerry underthrew everything and was made to look decent because of Britt making great plays on said underthrown passes. Rusty utilized Randy more than Vince and Kerry.

I think that's because his grandfather filled him full of stories about how great Moss was.

If the Titans hire Tice to be OC, does anyone remember Moss's relationship with him? Didn't he and Culpepper put up some pretty big numbers during the Tice HC days with the Vikings?

Could the rumors of Tice as OC be a sign that perhaps Munch wants to keep Randy?

I hope not...nothing against Moss, but hiring a new OC, just to keep a close to "over the hill" receiver who really did not have much of a season BEFORE he vanished here (not commenting on why he disappeared here) happy, is really not a good use of resources IMO...

I don't think they had a good relationship.

He doesn't get any accountability for never getting the rock? I mean, surely if he was just running around wide open then someone would throw it to him, right? This is a dude who has had a ton of huge games, multi TD games, 7+ catch games.... surely the QBs weren't just ignoring him... maybe he was just easy to guard? Idk. The idea that 'oh they didn't throw to him, not his fault' seems flawed to me. The open receiver gets the look more often then not. I agree he was being mishandled, and KB not lining up with him ALWAYS was just absurd, but I still feel like HE was just as much of a let down as the way we used him

That being said, if we can keep him for short years (1 or MAYBE 2 only) and cheap (vet minimum, maybe a bit more), then why the hell not? Any guff and he hits the road, capping his career with a terrible display. Not what he wants to do, that I can assure you

What resources? He knows he's in no position to make demands, and we will only gonna offer him a 1-2 yeal deal for a little bit more than the veteran min at best, if we had any interest in keeping him. I'm pretty sure even Moss' biggest fan doesn't think he's still an elite player.

This. As I said many times before, I'm never against improving, so why not. We have a good receiving corp without him and don't need him, so if he wants to help, awesome, welcome aboard...if not, see ya.

And as for the two biggest knocks on Moss last season...

The Texans game where he didn't go for the jump ball at the end of the game, everyone had quit by then (but obviously Moss has a history of this kind of stuff, so he's gonna be the first one to be called out), and it looked like he just said "f*** it" in real time, but if you look at the slow mo, it looks like Moss was expecting the ball to be thrown a lot sooner, you can see him start to jump before Rusty thought he was gonna. Regardless, it was uncatchable anyway.

And as for the offensive past interference in the Redskins game (skip to 1:24), watch the reply, it was barely a push, not a obvious call, and Hall had great position for a INT since it wasn't thrown high enough. So it wasn't exactly a "boneheaded" play.
