Stafon had a pretty bad injury, not just an ankle injury, but dislocated and broke bones, was said to have a lengthy recovery. I think we all pretty much believed he was a Fisher charity case, so not sure what we really have or how his rehab is.

BTW, not sure anyone has brought this up, but I think CJ's career just lengthened by at least 3 yrs with Fisher being fired. He was going to be run in the dirt under Fisher, now Munch and a new OC might spread out his carries and bring another back to share the load while maximizing his productivity. Just saying.

 

I guess Ringer is almost out of the picture huh?

 

Ringer just needs more oportunities!

I agree we need some depth and power in our backfield, but I think Ringer has earned an opportunity to get some carries as he spells CJ when he gets tired. He also fits in well if CJ has any injuries. I think a power addition is a must.

 

Bush and Mike Tolbert should be targets for us this off season. The Raiders will want to keep Bush in Oakland because of McFadden's health issues but they have a ton of free agents that need to be resigned and Bush might slip through the cracks.

I would rather have Tolbert but I think San Diego will overpay to keep him in San Diego.

 

Wouldn't mind him, but with Ringer and Stafon, I don't think spending money on a FA RB is worth it for us.

 

Stafon for obvious reasons, but can we really blame the lack of production from Ringer on him?

He had a 4.7 YPC on 51 attempts.

My short term memory isn't as good as it once was, but I don't recall Ringer being in on too many goal line plays last season.

I think having a new coaching regime should allow Ringer the chance to really prove his worth.

Ringers stats inside the red zone.

Opp 19-1 - 6 Att 36 Yards 6.0 Avg 15 Lng 2 TD's 3 1st Downs.

So both of his TD's were from inside the 20.

CJ did better statistically, but had a 2.3 Avg.

I think if Ringer is given more carries, he would be the better goal line back.
