Yeah but Eli during his superbowl year was pretty average, the defense carried that team.

I don't hate the hire but it's definitely tough to get excited about. We shall see. The former Oiler/Titan pipeline is definitely starting to scare me a little. I just hope we don't have another "loyal to a fault" head coach on our hands.

It is a little scary. I wonder how much of this has to do with us being late in the coach hiring game?

I think there must have been some bad blood/resentment going on between Munch and Dinger. Otherwise I just can't imagine Munch getting rid of Dinger to bring in a guy like Palmer. You'd think he would have had a more solid replacement plan. Somehow I don't think that Palmer is the guy Munch was dying for.

A bit premature judgment, you think? I had no idea the guy existed before today, but the playcalling could not be any worse than The wonder twins, Fisher/Heime last season.

He sounds excited to be here, he may get a little more creative with CJ. I'm open to about any change from last year's staff.

Knee-jerk reactions aren't logical when we're about a half a year away from our first real game, if we even get a season.

My theory is its always better to have a mobile QB as opposed to a non-elusive QB. What makes Aaron Rodgers and Big Ben so good is the ability to use their legs to extend plays and drives. However, pure pocket QB's are extremely effective too if they're students of the game (Manning). I'd just prefer to have a very accurate QB, who makes good decisions, who can also use his legs to avoid pressure from time to time to extend plays.

I've always been for getting the best QB possible in the draft. I don't like the idea of bringing in a stop-gap QB for a year (feel like its a wasted season) but we'll see what happens. The CBA could really shorten our window to find a good QB option and there's a couple of teams looking for a QB that we'll have to compete with.

If Munch supports him though, I'm trusting that he'll get a QB who he can work with for next season and a solid rookie he can develop.

Our old OC's were much younger but their playcalling was "too old"
