    Eddie wasn't that good???

He is one of only two running backs to reach 10,000 yards without missing a start (Jim Brown).

    Let's see CJ do that.

If you're trying to compare #26 of the Jags to #52 of the Ravens, don't.

I doubt that guy is in the NFL anymore.

its tough. i will say eddie because him and mcnair in that backfield were fearless. CJ will never put ray lewis on his arse like eddie did, but he did run all over the ravens d in that playoff game a couple of years ago. but just like eddie's team, cj's team couldn't finish the job. making us hate the ravens even more.

I'm trying to make the point that they play 2 completely different styles. Saying one "can't do this" is pretty pointless. Chances of Eddie making making it 90 yards down the field and scoring a touchdown on that play are pretty damn slim. At the same time, chances of CJ plowing through Ray Lewis are probably lower.

I voted Eddie George in the poll mainly because he was able to keep up his level of play for a long time. If CJ keeps this up for a while he'll probably pass Eddie, but until then there really is no question in my mind. Plus, we've seen CJ completely misused by Fisher. I feel like CJ in the right offense could light it up without being fed 30 carries per game like he was last year.

Lets hope old man Palmer changes up a few things on offense to accommodate for CJ.

they're two different backs in two totally different times so its hard to compare.

    Eddie....

CJ is flashier, has better hands (anyone thinking of Eddie as a receiver needs to take off the rose colored glasses), and has the home run ability, BUT Eddie was a winner (CJ may be, but has not shown me yet). Leader in the clubhouse, on the field, never stood in front of the media whining about salary, pro bowl selections, etc...

Remember the 2003-4 playoffs....Eddie separates his shoulder in the first half, gets it popped back in place at halftime, comes out for the second half, and has a 100 yard game against the RayRayRavens (our last postseason win, I think). Fast forward 5 years....CJ lights it up in the first half against the RayRayRavens, gets hurt, disappears, and we lose (due to many many reasons, but losing CJ was a big one). That to me illustrates the difference in my mind.

Eddie didn't quite reach 100 against the Ravens in the playoffs. But yes, that was our last playoff win. Over 7 years ago. :sad2:

    CJ is much better.

If the new staff will use him properly (not try to run him like he's Eddie) I think it will be clear to everyone.

Now, if you ask me which one I like more as a fan you might receive a different answer.

I would need to check the records....but it was my recollection that he got exactly 100 yards that night. I may be wrong though.
