Remember Rusty Smith?

Simms has an attitude and a big mouth, that's straight from papa's mouth " knows it all"-> I heard him anounce this although jokingly during his commentary during a game. Rusty on the otherhand played pretty well against the Redskins, his only problem in Houston was an ineffective receiving corps that dropped 5-6 catchable passes, which if any had been caught may have been the spark that could have changed the outcome. Rusty has all the makeup to be a good QB, maybe not great (yet) but good. He at least deserves a chance to improve and with the new coaching staff, he may.

 

So this thread went from saying we should give him a chance to start to he possibly could improve enough to be our number two?
And we are still talking about it. Rusty is what he is and that is a non accurate player without good decision skills. Don't you think Jeff would have lOved for him to be the starter? He couldn't and he won't but can be 2nd when we have noone yet.

 

Meanwhile we have fans who would bawk at Vince coming back. Cut the "good ol' boy" bullsh*t and lets win games.

Hey I saw Rusty at the end of that video in a perfect role for him. Sideline Motivator. Hope he secures the same role this year unless someone steps up and takes it from him.
