Babin is a product of the system. I would only keep him as a cheap situational pass rusher.

True, but like Most ex Titan players he thinks it is all him and he can do it anywhere. I guess he never kept track of LaBoy, Jevon,Haynesworth,Bulluck and many others that never matched the success they had in TN.

If this article is to be believed, it looks as though Babin's level of faith in the team has taken a massive plunge. He's basically talking as if his departure is a done deal. If the Titans won't give him security, you just know someone else will.

Is it just me or are the Titans a little bit notorious for this? Wasn't this the same thing that happened to Bulluck and Mawae? If this trend is true, then the Titans desperately need to improve their communication level with players. Not to coddle them or break the bank, but just to reassure that the interest is there.

With the exception of maybe Mawae, we should have shown no interest. Bulluck was passed his prime and would've asked for far more than he was worth, Babin has no place on this team any more.

We tagged Scaife just this past year but the tag on a TE is just $5M. Much more than that for othet players.

Dhani Jones had 125 tackles and he is a free agent. If making a lot of tackles makes a guy a stud then he must be one.

For those touting Ruud his problems are the same as Tully. Good in run support but not great in coverage. Not sure how he is an upgrade.

Let's not overpay for this guy. He is replaceable. We can let Tulloch walk too. He is not good. He can tackle but he can't cover anybody. Who we need to try to keep is Ahmard Hall.

Why? Because FB's are cheap? He only got our 2000-yard RB 1,364 yards in 2010. Hall can't carry the ball either. He's virtually one dimensional. I like the guy a lot, but he's no better for us to keep than Tully is. If it were up to me, we let Babin walk, and offer both Hall and Tulloch extensions. Babin will NOT have a repeat 2010 performance. I PROMISE you guys that.

Babin and Ford are gone for sure since the Titans are moving to a 7 technique DE (which Morgan and Hayes both fit better).

I like Hall but I'd prefer a FB who can carry once in a while and be a little more of a pass catcher. That would take even more pressure off CJ.

Tully leaving wouldn't be the end of the world but we would have to pay as much or mroe for a guy to take his place that might not be much better. If we can keep him a a decent price I'd do it and focus on upgrading OLB and S along with the DL. I doubt a guy like Ruud or Hawk is that big of an upgrade and if they can't be a significant upgrade in pass coverage it isn't worth paying them more to come here.
