What playbook? Heimerdinger's (or Fisher's) playbook is gone.

I don't know how you can like Kerry Collins at any level. He's a degenerate alcoholic as a human and he's a terrible quarterback as a player. What is there that you want him to teach a rookie QB? How to extend their career by polishing their coach's nuts?

Hasselbeck is an intelligent, well spoken guy with a great work ethic on top of being a far superior quarterback to KFC. I don't think he's a long term solution by any means but if he were to remain healthy (kinda relies on us improving our offensive line) he could be a good fit for a year or two while our rookie develops.

I really don't see any comparison there at all. I'd be extremely disappointed if we didn't cut ties with the old man.

Munch has said the majority of the playbook will remain the same. Obviously they're going to put their own touches on it, but there will not be a wholesale change, if you believe him, that is.

And you don't last as long as KFC has in the NFL without having some skill. If you had asked me five years ago who would I take it'd be an easy answer, but there isn't much difference between the two now.

Matt Hasselbeck hasn't even been average in four out of the last five years. He's only topped a QB rating over 76 once since 2006.

I'm really not trying to make an argument for Collins, I just don't see how Hasselbeck is an upgrade.

Yea intelligent guy with a great work ethic who over the last two years has posted a superior and blistering 75 and 73 QB rating and who has thrown more picks than TDs.

Nobody is saying Collins is a stud QB but with guys like this being the guys we have to choose from we might as well bring KC back.

Hasselbeck is bald and I hate his sister in law.
He should be ground into hamburger and fed to dogs.
    Sign him up!

Collins has been fairly effective against Pittsburgh's zone blitz over his years in TN..

Like I said, I'm not trying to make a pro-Collins argument, I just don't see Hasselbeck being an upgrade.

Hasselbeck hasn't exactly had what most people would consider to be "talent" around him the last 2-3 years or decent coaching..

Hasselbeck could be a quality QB with a solid O-Line, CJ, and Britt/Moss...
