Im more worried about Britt next season than anyone else, remember last offseason he got out of shape but still had training camp and preseason to get into shape, this year with the lockout Britt could sit around and just go to waste, his Hammy is already injury prone due to not working out enough and staying in top form. Britt could be a slob next season and we will not have a real #1 WR.

He is as quick as anyone on the team. If he knows his assignments and can run crisp routes he should be a good fit there. Williams played well in the slot (and did well) and Mariani is "quicker" than he is. His lateral agility is probably one of the best on the team and his strength coming out of college was his route running and hands. Actually he is almost exactly the kind of guy the Colts or Pats usually find and make into real nice players.

I think he could be our Welker if they just gave him a chance. Ease him into it, I vote.

Well Mariani is a WR because of his hands. I'm guessing as a kid in junior high or high school a coach noticed he is a natural catcher and made him a WR. Nate Washington has learned how to catch, which is bad for a WR. The first priority is to catch the ball, and when thats your 3rd or 4th best quality, you're destined to suck. Kenny Britt seems to be a mix of both. But unlike Nate, Kenny has all the raw skills, he just needs to fine tune each.

He is as quick as anyone laterally, and I'd credit his tennis days to that. Lots of stopping on a dime, and using your core to generate power. Great things for a return specialist, and inside WR.

I think every player that isn't starting should be fighting for their coveted spot on the team. It's called "ambition".

Don't tell that to Jeff Fisher or Donnie Nickey.

Did you see him at the probowl? They used him in the slot, he did a reverse. He's much more versatile than most think.

Not to mention last year through preseason he led all receivers in yards... all NFL receivers, not just ours.

I think we've got more talent than most people realize. Especially on offense. Our personnel decisions and playcalling have really held us back in the past.

It was interesting that Belichick used him in the slot during the Pro Bowl. I never even saw him line up at WR during our 6-10 season.

If I could high five this I would.

    A prime example: Jared Cook

He is a monster, but they won't play him.

Same thing with Ringer. If you think CJ will work 100% of the time your crazy, and he happen to have a guy in the backup spot who would start on most teams.
