    :Shaking Head:

Yea, because Bud wanted to keep Vince and Fisher.

So that means he didn't want to keep Vince. :sad2:

And then the team fails. Wahoo!

What you said is partially correct, but good coaches are open to input from their players and adjust season/game plans to their players' strengths. Fisher failed at both and as a result, the team failed.

    This.

I'm with you when you say VY's fate hasn't been set in stone yet and we're going to prolong the VY situation until after the draft. A part of Bud wants to part ways with VY because he knows he's spoiled VY in the past, and he wants to show that he's king, not VY. But other part of him wants to keep VY simply because...well, look at our QB situation...and the draft class isn't exactly a 5 star buffet.

If the QB we want in the draft falls to us, then yeah, VY is that much more expendable. But I won't be a fan of taking leftovers just for the sake of taking a QB. With next year's draft class stronger, if we don't get who we want, it'd be best to just let VY finish his contract and reevaluate him. But we also can't just forget about the incident during the Redskins game, so have VY take a pay cut and demote him to back up, and tell him he has to earn his starting job back in training camp (pick up a capable rental via free agency).

Players continue to support him (including a captain) because they also believe he's their best shot, not just because they're friends, and rightfully so. Sure, VY played it "safe" last season, but still, a 98 QB rating from someone that has the POTENTIAL to be elite can't just be ignored.

With Fisher, supposedly his ball and chain, out of the picture now, there's more to gain than there is to lose by giving him one last audition and just wait until next year's draft if we don't get the QB we want at the end of this month. If he doesn't play like a franchise QB, he's done. If he can't finish the season, he's done. If the salad's on top, I send it back.

Did it ever occur to you that the team fails because of insubordinate players, players that tell the rest of the team that they are quitting on the coach? The team fails if the players think the are better than the coach and are outside of the rules. Divisiveness is 100% of the time created by privileged/entitled players who are just too good to be told what to do... see VY. Even if your coach sucks, and you think you'd be better off without him, guess what you still play by the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you don't have a team you have a pickup game of basketball.

You may be right but I can't imagine I'm the only person in the world that believes printed quotes in the news and audio-taped interviews to be true.

(google munchak and vince young for your own review.)

Honestly, I don't care if Vince comes back next year if he plays for the vet minimum and apologizes for his unjustifiable behavior. Won't happen though.

    In some cases, yes.

In the case of the Titans last season, no.

There were 2 reasons the Titans didn't make it to the playoffs:
    1) Injuries
    2) Jeff Fisher's incompetence

He's not gonna be here next year, man.

And even if he was, he wouldn't be getting much support from people here. Probably 50% would support him at most.

That's just the way some people are man.

He never had all of the fans support anyway. So I'm sure that's nothing new.

Some fans in TN are just stupid. That's the honest truth. Even his rookie year when he was winning people hated on him.

I'll always be a Titan fan. But some of the fans...

Munchak never said he didn't want Vince Young back. He's simply stayed the course with what was already decided.

I don't need to google I read about Titans news every day.
