Nah, I don't see the Rams picking Locker over Bradford.

No. We've known VY was going to be released for months now. Nothing has changed.

If Carolina doesn't take him he will fall to eight. Buffalo takes Gabbert or neither.

Carolina and Buffalo might be thinking the same thing as us. Get a QB in the second or neither is worth that high of a pick.
Carolina may see something in Clausen and Fitzpatrick in Buffalo is not a bad QB. They might have other needs higher on their boards than QB. There are three or four can't miss picks and they might value them over two project quarterbacks.

I would not be surprised if the Titans go on the clock with Gabbert and Newton sitting there.

I dont see Gailey passing on Cam at #3. There is a very good chance Gabbert falls to #8 though imo. That being said, I'll be shocked if Carolina passes on him at #1.

I want us to have Locker as the future over Newton or Gabbert. I would put Mallett as #2 and Kaepernick as #3, Dalton as #4. Oooops, where does that leave the "experts" top 2?

The experts are often wrong. Especially on QBs. One or both could drop out of the top 5. Cam is not a can't miss pick at one. Neither is Gabbert. Carolina knows it. You have to hit if you hold the number one pick. You are not in a position to gamble.

I don't know how Cam is taken at one. You hate your franchise and fan base as a GM if you make that pick.

My absolute favorite pick of this draft would be Newton or Gabbert already gone by time we pick.

You and me both. If we take Locker, I'll look at it as us getting a top pick at the 8 spot. Because I definitely remember him being considered the top pick a year ago.

And yes I think we have to take a QB in the 1st because I have a feeling the good ones will all be gone by the time the 2nd comes around.

I created the exact same thread in February. Nothing has changed since then.

I am becoming more and more convinced that the pick will be Locker at #8. There simply won't be any decent QBs left by round 2.

Yeah, even though defense would help us a lot, a franchise QB is by far and away our biggest need.

If the coaching staff sees a QB they want, they should pull the trigger at 8. I don't care if its Ponder, Mallett, Locker, Newton or Gabbert. You can't take the risk of waiting to 39 to make that pick. There's too many QB needy teams that will get 2 picks before our 2nd round pick to take a risk like that.

I'd be cool with Newton, Locker or Ponder but I won't hate if they draft Gabbert or Mallett (I might hate if they flop though).
