That makes sense but of course I think it is cray to take Locker at #8 so some how my mind can't even imagine a team giving up early picks to move up to get him. Maybe the guy we really want is Gabbert since we have shown little interest in him.

All along it has been hinted that the QB target is Locker. Now at the last minute its Dalton. I'm not buying it.

I think the Titans are going to take Fairley at #8 and then trade back up for the best available QB. However, they are afraid Locker will be gone, so they are now trying to sell the fan base that Dalton is their guy. Then the front office can say, "see we got both of our guys."

What do we have to trade to get back into the 1st round? I don't think our 2nd rounder and 3rd is enough for teams to help us out with. Can we trade players yet?

Our 4th gets us to #32. Our 3rd gets us to 25. Our 3rd and 4th gets us to 21. All of those scenarios include our 2nd, #39.

Where did you get that from? A draft chart?

OK so using the draft point values, I've concluded that without the ability to move players, the best we can trade up to is 25th. Our 2nd and 3rd round picks hold a combined value of 725 points which is right where Seattle is picking. Will Locker be there at 25? I don't think so. If we want to waste half our draft and add our 4th pick to the mix we can maybe get to 20 or 21 in the 1st round. If we don't get him at 8, he could be off the board as soon at 10 or 12 tho. I'm also figuring 11-12 teams will take a QB this weekend.

I had a dream where we traded our #8 to the Patriots and they gave us BOTH of their 1st round picks. Then we got Locker with our first #1 and Bowers with our #2 1st... if only that really happened! Then imagine Martez Wilson/Paea with our 2nd, OMG. Then I woke up and realized I was late for work, D'Oh!

That's not too farfetched actually. The only problem is that New England doesn't NEED any one thing really, so for them to spend 2 picks to move into the top 10 would be foolish on their part. There's certainly not offensive lineman worth the 8th pick, so that's why is was a dream and not you predicting the future. Must have been a nice dream tho.

It's possible. Say if PP, Von, or AJ falls to us.. heck maybe even Julio. Since they have 2 1st and 2 2nds they may pull a deal. They'd still get an elite player at #8, and have 2 2nd to get good players as well.
