you forgot the kicker who is the key to our whole offense and those key special teamers that the experts love because they're so "versatile"

I think if Fisher was still coaching, our draft would have gone a completely different way. Fisher would bring Collins back for sure, so no Jake Locker. Our 2nd pick would have been Akeem Dent or someone who shouldn't be in the 2nd round. 3rd round we'd get another TE. 4th round and beyond, all WR's.

Yea..in the 2nd round we would have acquired some no name guy from a Div 3 school that the other 31 teams had projected going in round 4-5. But jeff for whatever reason would have seen something "special" in him

Mallet has no homies in Michigan. That's why he left.. the team didn't like him.

And I'm pretty sure the same happened in Arkansas.

Rudy was available for us but the Texans got him instead and now we have to play against him 2X a year.

Maybe the bigger question is not how Jeff fisher thought about some prospects but how Dinger thought about them. Would Dinger have signed off on Locker?

Locker to me seems like a Fisher kind of guy. Mallett is not but in rd 3 who can argue that Mallett wasn't great value?

Fisher would have traded up in the first just to be sure we could draft Ryan Donahue.

With Fisher our draft might not look the same but I doubt it would suck. The differences would be scheme based as much as anything and the QB we took might be different if Dinger was still the OC. MR is still the GM and this idea Fisher pulled all the strings is far from the truth. In fact the crappiest draft picks of late were actually picks he allowed the coordinators and position coaches to have significant input on.

I guess people forget Fisher was the guy who brought CJ, Britt, Griffin in. Then we bash him for getting a small school guy like Mariani? Henry was the pick of the RB coach at the time. Marks and Hayes were guys Wash liked. Maybe we don't take Ayers if Fisher is still the coach but he seems to be one of the guys that will only shine if he is in the right fit. You really can't compare drafts anyway because the scheme on defense is changing and probably on offense as well.
