Can he play strong?

With Hope as last season's starter, everyone who can play strong safety on the roster should get a chance to prove himself.

 

I don't know about playing in the nfl but he was one hell of a bluesman.

 

Are you suggesting he should go down to the crossroads, if he wants to start?

Johnson doesn't really have the size to play traditional SS in the NFL. However, I'm not sure how Gray uses his safeties. We need guys that can cover, whether they have he label SS or FS, and that's Johnson's strength. So he has a shot to get on the field. Sounds like he's working hard, which is good.

 

Probably going to see more single deep S than two deep and Johnson was never going to be a SS although they said some good things about his tackling and run support. But watching him in college he is a manly a roaming FS with good range. One of the guys from the Fisher era that might be a good fit now.

 

Could Fuller play some SS? I know he's hurt constantly, but he's a pretty good player.

 

According to several of Michael Griffin's tweets last summer, word is Rob Johnson can be special. I hope not special like Donnie Nickey, but special like, actually good at football. We'll see.
