I won't dissagree on that. I do think the Jets owner, Woody Johnson, has been intregal to Rex's success too. He's very active, agressive.

He's the anti-Bud Adams. The Jets also have a good FO.

50 years ago, Kenneth (Bud) Adams was a maverick too......He, Lamar Hunt and Al Davis were pretty controversial with the risk taking. Now.....Not so much (sigh).

I agree with you about Locker vs Sanchez.
Imo Locker is more mature, more sure of himself and a natural leader.
If Sanchez can start as a rookie then Locker could.

But, I would hope/expect Locker to be more producitive then Sanchez.
Sanchez at this point is more hype then production.
He's carried by a great OL and a great defense.

I still think its best that Locker waits ala Freeman or Cutler; but if Jake wins the job he wins the job.

Btw, I think Rex Ryan is a defensive genius.

Thanks for letting us in on that secret!

But yeah, Locker will have to carry us a bit more than Sanchez carries the Jets. He isn't likely to do that as a rookie. It's asking a bit much as a second year player, actually. But I think he'll improve. This damn lockout is what kills us this year.

    You're welcome.

I'm not saying Locker would need to carry the team.
Just that I would expect him to be more productive then Sanchez.
Its not like I said Flacco or Ryan.

I'm glad to see Gradkowsi on someone elses list. I like Bruce. However Volek by far makes the most sense since one, he has experience here and two, coming here works for him in the sense it may help re-establish his career.

Sanchez has a great defense there with the Jets so there is not as much pressure on him to score a lot of points or come from behind a lot.He fell into the perfect situation that many rookies would think would be the ideal situation.Defense carries that Rex Ryan led Jets team.

Cutler started 5 games his rookie year and Freeman started 9. That isn't much waiting.

really, this is all we have to do to have a winning season... (i'm not even joking)
let locker get us past a 3 and out every drive...
locker needs to prove to the league that when he sees people stacking the box for CJ, he'll make them pay... once they see that, they won't cover CJ that much which will open up running lanes for him... which will give us good possession times.. which will let the defense rest and not be so worn out...

you have to admit, our defense is awesome when it gets its rest... when the players gets tired because the offense can't stay on the field for more than 3 plays... we're screwed... that was the gameplan for us every play during the second half of the season.. and that is why we have locker now instead of dalton or kaepernick in the later rounds
