If we were serious about getting him fired, we could start some sort of online petition, then infiltrate the message boards for the 31 other teams and get them involved as well. Not sure how to go about something like that though.

Goodell is just representing the owner's interest in this case. Why would the players bring in a litigation guy to run the PA if they werent' determined to go to court all along? This is not all on Goodell.

Until games are missed, the other stoppages will still top this one. If the season starts in September, no one will care about this for long. Yes, it has technically gone on longer than any other stoppage, but it doesn't feel like it, since there are no games, and the draft went on anyway. If they can get this worked out next month, it will be a minor bump.

This does not surprise me, I was pretty sure we would be here back when we hired Munchak, then became pretty much certain we would be here when the deadline passed and the players' attorney showed himself to be what he is....a pinhead litigator. I still think that the situation was a large contributor in the decision to hire Munchak (keep it in house, in case the team had very little time between training camp and the regular season). When we hired Munchak that told me that our management was preparing for this situation.

I do not really blame Goodell for the lockout (I really think that is more on the players' attorney), but I do agree that Goodell is really hurting the game with all of his rule changes.

The reality is that the owners have billions already in the bank, in stocks, in investments, whatever. The players don't. The owners want this season, but only if they can get it for cheaper than years past (as if their pockets are hurting.) If the work stoppage goes on long enough, the players will cave. Goodell and the greedy owners know this.

This is a great point. The players were set on taking this to court from the jump and they're trying to make Goodell and the owners look like a bunch of greedy MFs.

Frankly I don't a give a good sh!+ who gets what as long as we get our Titans football.
