Doesn't matter what helmet they wear if they wear them too big- which is the case 99% of the time.

How often do you see them pop off? They don't fasten chin-snaps often enough either.

Usually when you see them put their helmet on or take it off- it's too easy for it to be fitting properly.

The Bulwark may not be pretty, but I think it could help. But again- if they're not secure- doesn't matter what the helmet quality is.

I'm not sure why players get to pick their helmets anyway. There should be a standard designed helmet everyone has to wear. There shouldn't be a choice.

At the start of the season if you'll look at camp pictures you'll see QBs and other players testing the supposed "safer" helmets.

But they always go back to what they're used to playing with. They don't really give them a chance.

So I'll assume the equip manager is suggesting these helmets, but they just can't force them to keep them.

If I were still playing I'd stick to the older style. Never really liked the new revolution helmets.

You just want something comfortable on your head. You wear your helmet everyday so you want to be comfortable. It's the one piece of equipment you notice the most. Whether its the feel or the bar design.

If players want to risk concussions because it's more comfortable, I don't see why we should be trying to stop them.

Do the new helmets help with concussions though? I'm not sure. It distributes the stress better, which helps with head injuries. However, a concussion is caused by the brain sloshing against the skull. It's an inertia problem. I don't think helmets can stop that, because they can't stop the inertia of the brain. It's a bit like being in a car wreck. Everything in the car keeps moving. Of course, you can use a seatbelt. But you can't put a belt on your brain. It will smash against the skull, and it will torque inside the skull. That's a REALLY bad thing, in health terms.
