    It's McNabb or Favre.

As for Boller, I watched about every game of his career until he hit the FA circuit. The guy couldn't have done more. During the years he was the starter the Oline sucked and there was a weak running game. I know he under performed but he had the holy hell beat out of him play after play. Granted McNair came in with the same crew and did much better but I don't think any of us will compare Boller and McNair.

Just saying Boller could've been a more serviceable QB with some pieces around him.

Yes Ed, I did say Jake Locker is no Kyle Boller at one time, and I do still believe that he's better coming in, but the question was; "Which current NFL QB/s does Jake Locker remind you of"? And I said Boller, not necessarily because I think they'll have similar careers, but mainly because the two of them are similar in size, speed, and overall rankings coming into their rookie seasons. I matched Locker up to Favre and McNabb also, as well as myself. He REMINDS me of all of them... I can completely understand why you'd question my opinion, but they remind me of one another in a few ways, thats all. And like memphis_raven pointed out, Boller maybe failed because of lack of talent around him, same as Locker in college. Now do you see how I can compare the two?

No doubt I can see why you compare Locker and Boller; they share size, speed similarities but so do a bunch of other QBs.

I disagree about their draft rankings being similar though.
Boller (who's comp % is 6.1 percentage points lower then Locker's) was never in the running for the top QB prospect like Jake was after his junior year and Jake was the 8th pick vs Boller who was the 19th pick.
And although they have similar size, speed Jake was a playmaker and a gifted runner who made use of his athletic ability as a QB.

I just think its telling of your opinion of Locker that you initially picked Boller for a size, speed comparison over all the other QBs with similar physical tools.

Locker to me is similar to Jay Cutler.

both have similar arms, same size, make the same throws, same accuracy issues, ect, ect..

Cutler is a gun slinger. Jake is a steve young McNabb type who can excel with quick throws on the move.

Locker reminds me of Jake the Snake and right now I can't think of anyone in the NFL that he compares well to since a good part of his game will probably include rollong out and throwing on the run as he develops better pocket skills. He might be closer to Vick without being quite as dynamic of a runner.

I do think he has some comparisons to Boller, Farve and McNabb but the most important thing IMO is if he can have the IT factor with the game on the line. Can he make a play to sustain a critical drive and can he avoid back breaking mistakes?

What will help Locker more than anything is having CJ back there with him. It makes the roll out and play action far more effective and the more successful he is the better lanes CJ has to run through so they can feed off of each other. IMO if he can pass the ball as effectively as Collins but with the added yardage with his legs and the threat that goes with it the offense can be dynamic and keep the defense guessing.

Agree with the Jake Plummer comparison.
