Didn't turn the ball over? He had 7 turnovers in 9 games. Yeah, he turned the ball over.

Yeah, Vince is a puss. He folds everytime he has adversity. Quit on his team more than once. Gets hurt pretty much every game.

Oh, he's 6 foot 5...so what. He's soft. Showed Poise in his career? Outside of the OT game vs the Texans and the game vs the Cardinals hardly.

Haven't posted on the site in a while, but I gotta side with CJtheBeast on this one. I know a lot of fans dislike VY, but it's hard to ignore his production. The stats are out there (and probably in this thread somewhere), but the biggest thing is winning football games. I don't care if VY is the most accurate passer in the NFL, has the best understanding of the game, knows all the ins and outs of the playbook, etc. as long as we are winning. Obviously, you need a combination of all these skills to lead a team to victory, but there's no 'cookie cutter' requirement for a successful QB. Just like there are different types successful RBs and WRs.

That being said, VY simply wins football games. I'm sure it's been brought up before, but watch video from the Rose Bowl, the Texans game his rookie year, and the 99 yd Cardinals drive. When healthy, he can take over a game. He's got his own issues, which haven't been helped by Fisher, but he's still a good QB. With the lockout, Fisher gone, and a pair of inexperienced QBs competing for the starting job, I think it's downright stupid to not give VY another chance. We've two great young talents in Britt and CJ to work with. And what's the worst that can happen? We lose a lot of games and release VY next year. Does anyone seriously think we're gonna contend this year with a washed up veteran or inexperienced rookie at the team's most important position?

So you agree bringing back VY wouldn't be good for the franchise, so what are you all riled up about then? I'm going to assume because fans have turned on him?

You say VY shouldn't have been pulled against Pitt. I agree and most do too.

You say VY should have been given an opportunity to test out his arm against Washington. I agree at least, and I think most do too?

Keep in mind I'm a VY fan, from TX and went to UT myself, and I hope he's successful somewhere else. With that being said, VY doesn't get a free pass. VY's actions against Washington were inexcusable and it wasn't like a first time offense. Regardless of how much his coach scrubbed him, you can't be throwing your pads in the stands and walking out on the team in a rage fit...

    - Before you say he was quitting on Fisher, not on the team, no when he walked out, he walked out on everyone, not just Fisher.

    - Before you say he was giving his pads away to a little girl, no let's use some logic here... he wasn't being charitable and suddenly threw a tantrum without warning minutes later. He was p*ssed off because he wasn't given the chance to go back in the game from the very start which set of a chain of events. With that being said, he had the right to be p*ssed and let Fisher know about it because he should have been given the chance to get at least a series, but he handled it the wrong way and he should be held responsible for handling it the wrong way. What he should have done was wait until office hours...to express himself.

Let say your boss is a total jacka** at your workplace, sure you have the right to be p*ssed about it but if in the middle of your shift, you suddenly tear off your uniform, cuss him out and storm off in a rage fit for the world to see, you're going to be in trouble no matter what.

I think I speak for the majority here when I say people here were let down by the way VY conducted himself over the years. He was forgiven by even the biggest VY critics here after Jax 08 for redeeming himself with his play in 09, but Washington was the final straw. There comes a time where you just say "ok, it's not worth the trouble anymore."

That has nothing to do with it.

The losing started while he was still playing. And the losing started because of injuries to our DL. Because of those injuries we were no longer getting the pressure on opposing QBs that we had been and we couldn't stop the run.

Last I checked, VY doesn't play defense. So as usual your point is irrelevant.

Some of our best scoring games occurred before Vince went on IR and when he wasn't playing. (Jaguars and Eagles).

I predict Locker starts by week 5 and wins rookie of the year.

And CJ, for what it's worth, I don't agree with the insults thrown at you when it's resorted to name calling, and I think VY will be LeGarrette Blount all over again next year.

    1) No. I get riled up over falsehoods about Vince. He developed into an effective QB.

    2) Yep. And he handled the situation great. Didn't bash Fisher at all.

    3) Yep. Could've been a situation where fans questioned his toughness. Say the injury wasn't season ending. Fans would've been calling him soft all over again.

    4) Didn't see any photos or videos of the pad incident. Can't speak on it. It's 2011 though. Everybody has a cell phone with a camera on it. Not saying it didn't happen, just saying its a little shady...

    5) Did he walk out or get kicked out? Conflicting reports. Nobody knows. Griffin denies chasing after him.

    6) Did you see the incident? Have any reports? I'm being serious. I wasn't there. I don't know how the whole incident went down.

    7) Yea, your gonna be in trouble. But in this case, it became the downfall of the boss. And we all benefited. Who here is mad Fisher is gone? Apparently some of the other guys wanted Fisher gone too. Sometimes you just get fed up. And the NFL is a little different. They're all grown men and demand respect. I don't know how the whole event went down so I can't comment. Does anybody know what Fisher said to Vince? So was Kenny basically giving Fish the finger by wearing the VY towel? Bo too? and CJ? What triggered the revolt? Were the coaches who bailed on Fish giving him the finger too? What really took place last season as far as the coaching went?

    8) I agree he let us down with the Washington incident. The question is, if Fisher hadn't of announced the entire incident to the entire world would it have been such an issue? We always had a code of silence in the locker room when I played. Everything was to be kept in house. I think Fisher's move after the game was political. He knew exactly what he was doing.
