FA wishlist

Just did a little more reading and thinking about it. How about this 3 way trade:

VY and Finnegan to the Eagles
Kolb to the Cards
DRC to the Titans

Obviously some other lower valued players/picks may be involved to keep everyone happy.

That gives the Eagles a solid back up for Vick, who is getting older and is injury prone with his style of play, and a solid veteran CB. Great for a team who is looking to contend for a championship this year. It gives the Cards their QB of the next few years. Gives us a young corner for the future and some value for VY.

 

Saw Olin Kruetz name mentioned. Maybe he could play the role Mawae did for us.

 

AH3 I gotta say, that might be one of the best, creative trade ideas I've read in a long time. I think it's fair to everyone and everyone involved would benefit.

 

I can only hope you and that article are right. Dude gets paid $6.5/yr... which is elite money for safeties, he makes the SAME as Ed Reed and more than Troy Polamalu. He must be cut to save money.

Having that extra $6.5 mil to spend would be nice, that could sign us a good player easily.

 

What do you guys think about bringing in another legit CB. Reading about Grays plans as DC it sounds like he'll be doing a ton of blitzing and man-to-man coverage with the corners, that scares me. Neither ATV or Finnegan have great speed. Obviously NA would be nice, but it's like a 1% chance we land him. So lets look at all the other corner FAs:

Brent Grimes (has a 1st round tender/so wont happen)
Carlos Rogers (now 30, still a good corner, Wash will open their checkbooks though)
Johnathan Joseph (27, was great in 09 but sucked in 10)
Antonio Cromartie (27, he's a knuclehead but can PLAY)

If we could land Rogers, Joseph, Cromartie that would be awesome. Personally, I would want Cromartie the most, he has great speed and good size.

Cromartie - Finnegan - ATV - McCourty

That's a solid CB rotation.
