We're over the Vince situation.:sad2: Best of luck to him but we don't need to look back. We have as much of a chance with Locker, Hasselback, or McNabb. The rest of the team is probably glad to put the Fisher/Young soap opera behind them too.

    1) Fans who don't like Vince are obviously over the situation. Whether or not it would benefit the team if he were to come back is a different story.

    2) Do you know of any players other than Donnie Nickey who opposes him coming back?

I understand but the NFL is a business. If Vince goes and is very successful someplace else we lose out unless Locker performs for us. Vince is gone in a year, by keeping him we'd have the best chance of winning games now, and have a solution for later in the year, if Young becomes injured, or if Locker picks up the offense right away and outperforms Young.

Why not have 2 QB's with the same style, athletic ability, and strengths. And this doesn't go to you SEC, but to some of the other posters, stating you don't like him is not a good enough reason.

Do you know any owner or coach of the Titans who want him back?

He's not saying permanently. He's talking about for this year. We're going to be releasing a QB who has chemistry with our current players to bring in a vet who is a placeholder until Locker is ready to take over. Which could be sometime this year or next year.

VY has not been perfect for the Titans, but he's done his fair share of good things too. I just think keeping him for this year makes the Locker transition easier for the whole team. Both are mobile, athletic, and have similar playing styles.

If VY plays great we can re-sign him and continue to groom Locker. If he has a bad attitude, plays bad, or anything else, we just let him walk. He'd be looking at free agency and may just pull off an Big Al performance for us.

Keep in mind that Vince is likely looking forward to going somewhere else at this point. Let's be honest, he had a stubborn coach in Tennessee that had to be right about not wanting to draft him (even if it meant losing imo), and a bunch of fans who never really supported him. Him being an emotionally fragile person, he was in the worst place he could have been in Nashville. Fisher's ago, and Vince's emotions have them both looking elsewhere now.

That is simply untrue. He had all the local fan support that could possibly be expected the first two seasons. He lost and never regained that support after the San Diego playoff loss followed by the Jax opener next season.

Fair enough. I only know that the fans turned their back on him real fast, and Fisher and the media fed it until Vince had to feel no support at all. It was unfair as could be imo. The media's love affair with Fisher had no small part in the fans turning on Vince either. It was almost like a conspiracy to run him out of town because that all time great coach Fisher didn't want him, and doesn't want him now. Bottom line Vince was never given a fair shake in Nashville, and certainly can't wait to get out, and I don't blame him.

Bud Adams initially wanted both him and Fisher back. I'm not sure about Munchak. We never got his opinion because the decision was already made by the organization before he came coach. I do know that pretty much all of the coaches from the Fisher era are gone though.
