Dude I watched the whole thing go down. The only reason he was having problems getting his new stadium was our Mayor. To say they had a history is an understatement. Both Bud and the Mayor were acting like little britches.
Like I said...all Bud had to do is wait for a new Mayor. But his ego got in the way of common sense. You didnt witness all the crap that went on.

And you make it sound like for some reason Houston decided football was no longer important. Thats crazy.

What business man in his right mind would take a team to a market as small as Tennessee? 9th or 24th what would you pick as a business man?
It was out of spite, pure and simple.

That sucks...you would think Bud and the city could get together and do something about it.

Regardless of Bud Adam's ranking he still made out good when he purchased the team for a couple hundred grand decades ago without even knowing how big the sport was going to become.

Also who cares if Houston's #9 ranked or whatever, they can't even make it to the playoffs. We have stomped their asses so many times with a less valuable franchise, shows how much they are able to capitalize on their so called "value."

I really like how you stayed on topic. And the OP obviously cared or he wouldnt have started a thread about it.
I will say Ol Bud got a great deal on the team initially.
All teams fortunes ebb and flow. We'll see how well you guys do this year. But I think the tides going out for the Titans right now.And I think you guys will start to see how Bud reacts when things aren't going his way.....it aint pretty.

fact is that in just a few years BA can pay off the stadium in Nashville and take his team elsewhere. Year 15 of the lease I believe. It is quite possible that BA moves IMO

BA would have no lack of oppertunities.

I don't think it WILL happen, but the price would only be around $125m which I am sure BA would have the acquiring city reimburse.

You realize the Titans are ranked 24th most valuable team in the world (all sports included), right?

We are ranked the 18th most valuable NFL franchise. That's just one spot behind the Steelers (who are worth only $2 million more). 18th certainly isn't jaw-dropping, but I wouldn't say we are "one of the least valuable NFL franchises."

I find it hilarious that we are only $2 million behind the Steelers. This basically proves that they're a bunch of bandwagon douchebags. Swap teams with us and see how loyal your fans are, Pissburgh. Betcha wouldn't have many fans traveling to away games waving those b*tch towels. You cry when someone stomps on a towel. That's as normal as Scientology.

Like I said earlier......thats pretty damn good for the size of yalls market.
And the fact that shiitzburg is only 2 mill ahead of you guys is patheic.
But somehow that doesnt suprise me.
