I hope people are ready to see the numbers. I have a feeling that the Titans gave Hasselbeck a lot of money.

Just keep in mind that Vince Young's $15 million and Kerry Collins' $7 million (both numbers are approximate) are both coming off the books. I think whatever the Titans spent to get Hasselbeck will be money well spent. He can keep the team competing at a high level this season and help the transition to Locker take place.

Hasselbeck spent this past offseason running the players camp for the Seahawks, despite the fact that he didn't even have a contract. He is one of the hardest-working and smartest players in the league, not to mention an all-around good guy.

Wouldn't have happened if Fisher was still here.

We are no longer going 3-13. If we can add two more solid free agents, we should be a very solid team.

    Heck yea!

I love this pickup. Yes he is older, yes he is injury ridden but the man can play. He is a very good qb. and hopefully a great mentor for #10

Glad to have ya Matty! Now that we have our QB, let's lock up our RB and then continue filling our holes at DL, LB, S and TE.

It's entirely within the realm of possibility that Matt could outperform Vince's "impressive" efforts from last season. Of course I mean in terms of yards and touchdowns. Obviously, Matt will have far more passing attempts so expecting a 98.6 rating may be a little much but he could get north of 85 and I'm thinking he could have as many as 20 td's. I'm also thinking that he can get 3000 passing yards, in our system, which in fairness, we're not exactly sure what it even looks like.

    Lots to be optimistic about.

I'd like to thank Matt for believing in the Titans and for being someone other than Kyle Orton.

Like the "Cheers" song, "It's good to go where everybody knows your name." In this case, it should be like old home week for Mr. Hasselbeck. He's going to do a great job!

With VY and Collins coming off the books, we have to also figure either (or in my opinion, both) Hope and Gage leave as well, both getting generous money this year.

Actually, I may have misquoted the line, but you get the idea.

I like this move a lot. I honestly think anything over .500 is a mark of success give the circumstances, but this is definitely a good building block move for our offense.

Can anyone comment on comparison's between the offense Seattle ran with what Palmer is putting together?
