Looks like Tulloch is probably gone

The only thing impressive about Tulloch was his number of tackles. Which most MLBs could get with the weakness of our DL last year. Someone's gotta make the tackle.

I don't know if someone posted this, but Barnett was best in the 4-3, before Capers got there. Similar to Vilma when he was with the Jets. You still have to be skeptical about players like this, the good ones are never scheme specific.

 

I like Tulloch, and wouldn't mind him back. But can also understand why he's not being resigned & I wish him the best of luck.

As for a replacement, we could keep what we have. Witherspoon can play ILB or OLB. We also have a ton of young talent: Ayers, McRath, McCarthy, and Curran. Curran actually reminds me of Tulloch v2.0.

There is also some decent vet replacements: Nick Barnett (when released), Rocky McIntosh, and Kirk Morrison all interest me.

 

Kirk Morrison is the same thing Tulloch is. Morrison has started all 48 games the last three years and has forced two turnovers.

I'd rather just go with the young guys. Put McCarthy in the middle and Ayers outside with Witherspoon.

 

I hope the Jags release Kirk Morrison. He went under the radar with them, but I have always liked him since he played with the Raiders.

I like Barnett or Ruud. If not then let the guys we have battle it out. OR we could slide WW to the middle and bring Keith Bulluck back to play outside.

Ok back on topic; I agree with the saying that Tulloch was a one trick pony, he had tons of tackles but 0 forced turnovers. We can get a tackler dime a dozen, and he wasn't exactly a vocal leader on the team beyond being a defensive captain.
