+ Matt Hasselbecks contract (3yr/21mil - 2013 is heavy loaded, unsure what 2011 amount is, i'm guessing $5 mil)

Total salary room is roughly $24.465 mil left.
Keep in mind this does NOT include Rookie contract or CJs extension.

Also, if Chris Hope is released you can add $7mil and if Gage is released an additional $3.5mil

 

And if we cut Haye that'll probably save us another couple Million.

 

Yep 3mil to be exact. Although he's not getting a roster bonus, so no reason to cut him now. Haye was playing around the 290s before coming to TN. Wash had him then drop 15 lbs to fit the system better. Hayes now adding that weight back trying to get around 290 for Gray.

if we cut will witherspoon it would save us around 11 mill or however much as he was signed to a 3yr-11 mil. with 5 million guranteed and we could let ayers play as we did just draft him and i dont see the point in drafting him if he is going to be a back up to witherspoon...i think he has the talent to play now so we should play him and let curran or mcgrath battle for the other spot...

I just want to say I'm new to the board but have been a die hard Titans fan for a long time now. Cut Hope, Gage & Haye. That's an extra 10+ mil to the cap.

But we still need to sign Locker & give Cj a hefty raise (10 mil probably).

I would say in terms of need, I'd rate the positions like this:

It would be stupid to cut Will Witherspoon. For one, he's only making $2.5 mil next year. He's our ONLY proven LB vet on the roster, and can play any LB spot for us.
