If that's the case, then you know that Washigton will throw "stupid" money at him. Just like They did with AH and other free agents that they tend to overpay.

But, the Titans could do worse than him as a "talent."

Pass on Edwards. I can't imagine the Titans signing another WR with off field issues. I'd rather have T.O. (if forced to choose between the two)... he'd probably end up being a headache but I like the idea of Britt watching Owens' work habits.

James Jones is another name that if he is not signed, would be a major upgrade over gage and washington. If we sign another wr, we can cut gage and get back 3 million on the cap. Edwards would be great, but jones would be fine too. I also think hawkins is going to be a good wr, now that fisher is gone and he might see the field (same thing for jared cook!)

Why does Lavell Hawkins have a cult following? What in the world has he done? As of right now, he's at best our fourth best WR.

If we sign someone else he's probably gone. Britt, Washington, Signee, D. Williams, Mariani. I guess he'd have a spot if we keep six, but he's never really been a big contributor on special teams.

Who knows where Gage fits, hopefully nowhere.

Munchak and Reinfeldt have already said they're not looking to bring a "big name" WR in, but we're looking at a "veteran." Not sure if they view Braylon as a "big name" or a "veteran" however...

I agree with that...have you been in Soldier Field, though? You have to have a cannon (like Cutler does) to keep the ball moving in a straight line most of the time. Great place for old school smash mouth football, but that is not the trend these days.

I am not sure if it is not more of the receivers not interested in the Bears.....

That's a great point. And they'd be right, he isn't exactly a big name guy but he can produce and has been in the league for a little while so technically that makes him a veteran.

I'm all for bringing in Braylon. He's got the size and speed to be a real force opposite of Britt. He's got the off the field issues, but hopefully he will control himself (and not get Britt in more trouble). Best case scenario is that he's matured and can help Britt grow up a little too.

Bottom line: with a young QB coming in, we need to get as many weapons as we can. CJ, Britt, and Cook are the first few pieces, but adding another WR would be nice. Braylon is 28, so he's got a few good years ahead of him.

I'm not sold on James Jones- he hasn't emerged as a player in the Packers offense, despite Driver aging. It's a little telling that they were willing to part with him. Then again, with Rodgers at QB you can put just about anyone out there to catch it.

He's going into his 8th season so he'd definitely qualify as a veteran.
