You realize we beat them in the playoffs in 2003 at their place and beat them at their place again in 2008? Among other wins...

How do you know what these guys can do since Fish didnt play them last year at WR. Last time I checked Mariani made the Pro Bowl as a kick returner which means he does have some skill, let's see what he can do. Williams was graded as a second round pick and deserves a shot to play.

I was at that playoff game in Baltimore so yea, I know. I was referring to a 12 year home victory drought, but I guess I wasn't so clear on that.

We're 1-5 against the Ravens in Nashville. We play them better in Baltimore for some reason. Overall, I think we're 4-6 against them.

Baltimore is getting younger and losing a lot of key vets plus they are old as dirt in some areas on defense.I think we very well could take a W

Evans hasn't topped 700 yards in two seasons plus he has to learn a new system on the fly, it's not that great of a pick up.

    Right.

I'm ignorant for saying Damian Williams and Mark Mariani are nobodies...

    Or honest.

Think about it. Freaking homers here... it's become the TOMB over one offseason.

Being graded as a second round pick but not being picked 2nd means little to nothing.

People say the same nonsense with Ayers. If you're a 1st, 2nd, etc round talent- that's where you'll be picked up.

Truth is, some guys are just overhyped leading up to the draft.

How is it bad to think a receiver who had 14ypc in limited play time and a receiver who went to the pro bowl returning and was last preseason's top receiver (not to mention how much praise he's gotten this camp so far) are worth investing some time into during their SECOND seasons? Williams was no late round flyer like Mariani. He was a third round pick a season ago (our second pick in the draft). That's no low-value pick. So far, he's done well enough to show he can contribute. Mariani was the one that needed to show his stuff and he did last year. I'm not sure anyone contests that top returners CAN become top receivers and he's shown promise in preseason last year.

How is it homerism to think players who COULD contribute COULD contribute?

People aren't saying to start them over Britt or anyone else, they aren't saying these guys would be #1s anywhere else in the league, they're saying let's find out what they are.

They've shown they aren't complete football illiterates in their rookie seasons (even excelled in some areas) and I think we should give them a chance this year with a new system supposedly tailored to player's strengths more instead of TRADING FOR (the main hitch on this in my opinion) a #2 receiver who has no clue what our system is and offers little more to our offense than we already have.

If that's homerism, then sign up most any team's fans anywhere.
