I guess CJ being a WR too means nothing. He's more than just a back. He's more than just a WR. He's a playmaker baby. Homerun hitter. The only human being with nearly 10 50 yard TD's in a season. Sickening to think of him anything less than a top 3 player in this league.

You know the people on that long TD list. All HOF.

Your point is well taken. Few teams spend huge dollars on a running back; especially few of the top teams.

On the other hand, RBs fade away at 30 and most never see their 3rd contract (or it's a minimal deal) so that 2nd contract is their one shot at a big payday.

    Out of curiosity.

How much are all off the CJ super supporters willing to pay this guy?

Titans stated they would make him the highest paid RB in the league. Apparently it is not enough for him.

    How much is enough?

There are people in this thread supporting something that Colin Cowherd said? That dude is the biggest joke in sports. Even his colleagues can barely hide their contempt for him at times.

As for the topic at hand, trying to show that there's a relationship between having a top QB/RB/whatever and winning the Super Bowl (or just making the playoffs) but using a sample size of only one season (and, in many cases, only some of the teams from that one season) is idiotic.

Go back to stats class, folks.

I would be fine with the Titans paying him 30 million guaranteed and 10-12 million per year.

The Packers had John Kuhn, a super clutch player at FB. His presence made all the difference in many 3rd down situations IMO. Without him, Packers chances at winning the Super Bowl go way down. As for the Saints having no RB's, really? Pierre is legit, and Bush aint too bad either. Hell, Joseph Addai won the Colts their Super Bowl. RB's matter.

    CJ as a wr??? WTF??

He's terrible out of the backfield... so you trying to claim he's a dual threat is hilarious.

Dude can't catch to save his life.

    That wouldn't be smart.

No team has the cap to pay a freaking running back 10 mill a year.

    Not one.

Which is why no other team will pay CJ that. No other team will trade for him, either.

The NFL is smarter than it's fans. Thank God.

You tie up that much money in a runningback and you're handicapping your team for a long time to come. Might as well just spend outrageous money on a punter.

Correct me if I'm wrong but under the new CBA aren't teams required to practically spend 100 % of the salary cap? Rookie wage scale and all, and with no other player on our team at the same level as CJ who we gonna spend it on? Britt? Just asking over here.
