That's because there was less than a min in the game and running plays eat up clock in case you haven't noticed. That's like saying "Well since rob bironas kicked that last sec. field goal to win that game one time, nobody else on the team can win games". No, Rob kicked the field goal because that is what the situation dictated. Just like the cardinals game dictated passing the ball.

Plus I never said that nobody else on the team was capable of winning games. I would sure hope there are some other capable players on the team. I was just tired of people saying "CJ can't win games", with no real data to back it up. If someone can come up with an argument with actual evidence to back up their claims, then by all means post them, and then we can have a meaningful debate. You bringing up 1 drive to debunk my season's worth of stats just doesn't work.

regardless of the tweet.... the salary demands are insane. Top RB money not good enough? In the NFL today, no RB deserves to be paid more then $10 mill per. If he is dead set on wanting $12-13+ per year with $30+ in guaranteed money, then our smartest move is to let him and his agent see if they can get a team to agree to compensate him with the contract he wants, AND give us at least 2 1s for him. Regardless of what CJ and his agent want to think, the Titans hold all the leverage in these negotiations. He is under contract for two more seasons, they do not have to negotiate with him at all. Them saying they would make him the highest paid back in the league was a sign of good faith for what he had done. Him saying that wasn't good enough was a slap in the face of the organization.

I am pretty sure he had fan support from the start. Then when everybody saw he was being serious with his "13+" a year and not showing to camp, when others who did show got their deal.

I agree, he needs to be paid more. But its hard to support someone who seems to show little interest in getting this worked out. If he was serious, he would be in Nashville until it got done.

I am reading his twitter (which is the first I have ever done, I hate twitter) and he does seem sincere with his apology. Personally, I do not think he went it the way it sounded. You have to be smarter than that. I hope he gets a deal worked out, but right now I think he needs put together a nice apology.

Right now, because of that comment, the FO has all the leverage.

I'm amazed how worked up everbody has gotten over that tweet. I don't think he was addressing that tweet to anyone but those guys that were twitter trolling him.

Nearly all of us agree he deserves more compensation than he is scheduled to make right now. It becomes a bit gray how much more but most people prior to that tweet believe he should make upper RB (or top RB) money. The Titans never put that on paper until last week.

The deal will get worked out, probably 4-5 years, 40-50 mill with 26-30mill guaranteed. (No doubt he lost some leverage with this "tweet".) He will be dressed for the Jax game. Everybody calm down and stop taking so damn personally that he makes way more money that any of us on this board ever will. (If you are that upset about it, go try out for a RB slot in some camp next year.)

I see now he has released a "clarification" twitter. Sounds sincere to me.

This is the "clarification" claim. I don't know how to check twitter, I'd like to see the comments that got him provoked. CJ has been pretty level headed in the past. Hard for me to not to believe it went down like he is suggesting.

Exactly, and that's what annoys me about his tweet. Most of us here are fans of the team and have been for a long time, even when they were the oilers. He is only a fan because we drafted him. He has absolutely no right to call out the fans since he is only a fan because they pay him.

    Ridiculously dumb comment.
