Jim Tressell joins the Dolts; Should he be suspended for 5 games?

Tru he cheated to illegally recruit good players and choked in almost every big game he played in

 

Um...prior should NOT be suspended in the NFL for doing something in college. The NFL has no jurisdiction on what a guy does BEFORE he even enters the NFL draft. If you applied this fairly throughout the league, a ton of players and coaches would have to be suspended.

Wouldn't Pete Carroll and the coaches that were a part of that program has to be suspended for an entire season? How about Reggie Bush...who WAS in the NFL when they found out about his wrong doing.

And didn't Goodell say he'd be tougher on Coaches and the organizations than the players?

I don't see how Goodell would have a leg to stand on if Prior appeals and just brings up Bush and Carroll...and quotes Goodell to Goodell and the judge! Game over...and im not even a lawyer!

PS - I voted no that Tressell should be suspended for 5 games. He should sit a whole season. He's the 'adult' and the head of that football organization. He's the guy making the big bucks. He knew better and you can't give these guys a slap on the wrist. I would have made Caroll and Tressell and any other coach that was leaving a College high and dry a 1 yr suspension after which they can APPLY for entry into the NFL. If they don't do some good will stuff to show they've changed, I wouldn't let them in the league...so they can go down to HS or due their time in the college ranks...

 

Why should he be suspended? Because he broke some rules made up by some "organization" that has nothing to do with the NFL? I don't condone his actions (he has a pattern of doing it), and I have my own reasons for hating the NCAA. But, this is clearly the NFL trying to stick its hand in matters that don't concern them.

Also, same goes for Pryor.

 

More reason to fire Goodell. He's so lucky that very few want his job.
