I don't know if you really hate the team, but when you ignore what's really going on in an effort to tear a player down, then you are definitely just hating on a player. Either that or being a douche for the sake of controversy.

If there were running lanes open, Chris Johnson would run through them. Truth is, the entire defense keys in on him when he's on the field. When he's getting -2 yards, 2 yard gains, it's because he's being hit in the backfield or he's trying to shake a defender in the backfield. We should be able to make them pay on those plays, but our passing game and playcalling has also been inept.

I'm in the middle here... there is truth to what everyone is saying... The offensive line is not performing at a top notch level but neither is CJ... There's nothing wrong with saying that... I think he missed some holes last Sunday but he also miss the timing with Ahmad Hall. He was in Quinn's back pocket at times. That is just simply from no work together.. side note, it would be nice to think they are staying after practice for extra work.... CJ as of right now is not the end all be all that he was from 2 yrs ago... I would say that is 50/50 between he and the OLine....

I agree with you 100% here. It's like a pissing match between CJ fans and CJ haters. Everyone is to blame. Along with the coaching staff, who made absolutely not attempt to let this team develop any rhythm on offense against the Jags.

The difference is- our O-line isn't full of divas that held out, missed camp, and came in sucking.

CJ has no chemistry with this o-line so even when the holes are there- he's not going to be in synch with them to feel for them.

Anyone that's played RB knows it's tough when you're out of familiarity with your o-line.

The way they play now is very conservative, but I remember the days of the "Run and shoot." and also the "House of Pain." We need those days back, it seems as though our coaching staff and franchise are being too calm and conservative in the way the games are played.

This is where our difference of opinion lies. You say 'like a diva' like he should have done anything other then what he did. I don't blame him at all for holding out, and I feel like the situation was resolved just fine. In the grand scheme, if a couple rusty games is the ultimate price we pay for signing CJ for 6 years, we got off just fine.

These games don't mean anything. We won't contend this season. Now that everyone is here and on the same page for the first time, I just want to see guys getting better at this point. Improvements and consistency is what I want to see on both offense and defense. Obviously, I never want the team to lose. I love this team and want them to win. The way I see it though, this was a rough offseason (all things considered), and now we finally have a squad who is here and ready to play. Britt had issues, CJ had issues, the league had issues, but now its time to put up or shut up. The paperwork is filed, lets see the results on the field now.

I kinda understood why 'the Diva' would not audible into a pass when there were 8/9 in the box. First he would have had too have had the 'box' concept explained too him a few times a quarter then he would have too be able to count to 3. Once he managed too count 2 or 3 but no more DBs then he would have to call the preselected pass audible. Considering just these elementary things I was never suprised when 'the Diva' kept running CJ right into the teeth of 8/9 man fronts.

But with Hasselback I will tolerate no excuses. MH should NEVER call a run with 8/9 man fronts. CJ is NOT EG. He lacks the stature too impose his will on a 8/9 man front. Titans have too start making teams pay, and pay in chunks, for selling out too stop CJ

Man that's not necessarily true. You have to establish the run for this team to have success. Even if it's not going anywhere, like today, you have to make the defense respect it to open up the passing game. CJ's rushes were all of the small variety, but it was still enough to make the playaction viable. Once they started cheating up, we saw Matt hitting some receivers on some big plays.

Hassleback punished the ratbirds for stacking the box. Something 'the Diva' never did for a whole game.

Clearly the NEVER was used for emphasis and not literal. Teams should and do run the ball against 11 man fronts, othen with success. At least when success is measured in inches.

This is what stood out to me today. It was damn nice seeing our QB air it out and hit our receivers down field. Kenny Britt is an absolute stud, and Nate Washington looked like a real #2 receiver today. Hawk and Cook even got a couple big plays in there. What a day, what a game.
