I don't see us taking a receiver first round...but possibly the 2nd...depending on how much they like D.Will...

I think we already have our future one and two with Britt and Williams.

Well, he did say he might reconsider if a 'winning' team called. We're winning so let's call!

All depends on how the acl/mcl procedure goes.

I really don't see Moss as an option.. I get the vibe he hated his time in Tennessee.. And although it's a new staff, I just can't see him coming back to Tennessee..

    Owens isn't an option..

TJ is old and a non producer like mentioned, the fact that he played with Hass earns him a slight mention I guess.. But I don't think it'll happen...

    Sweed is a bust..

As much as I've disliked Gage, he's probably the best option and it'll likely be him. He's a big target like Britt (lacks the speed of course) and he's a good blocker like Britt is..

Gage will probably be signed by Wednesday..

Why are we talking about going out and getting other players to replace Britt? If these players were so good, don't you think we would have brought them in before KEVIN CURTIS?

Moss is retired. The most idiotic thing I've ever seen is someone saying Moss is an option for ANY team. It's like saying bring in Earl Campbell to relieve CJ. Moss is done, he's gone, and he's not an option. He won't even return to his favorite team.

T.O. has been going overseas for frankenstein surgeries like Manning, he's dead for football. At this point, it's about becoming a regular guy again.

Gage was apparently good in training camp yet we CLEARLY didn't want him back. We didn't ask for a reneg, we said bye. He left, we didn't resign him then, we won't now.

Our options are on our team, not on the FA market.

Jared Cook is our best option (in my estimation) to "replace" Britt. He's a big mismatch threat who is quick, just like Britt. Say what you want about Ed Reed, but he doesn't allow just ANY players to punk him like Cook did. He's not worth a damn at TE blocking but his blocking skills learned thus far are more than enough for a WR. Daniel Graham proved he's adept enough to play TE and Stevens as well. With those two at TE we don't tip our hand whether we're passing or running as much. Cook won't jumpfrog to #1 obviously, but I'm sure he can come in and line up in Britt's spot when he comes in so Nate and Hawk/Williams can play more naturally in their usual positions.

That's my hope/prediction for our plan for a Britt-less offense.

We're being realistic.. We have 4 WR's on this team right now.. Do you really think we're gonna' play next week with 4 WR's? I hope nobody gets hurt, then we can't run 4 WR sets...

what people are failing to realize with Moss....

    1) He will have a real QB throwing to him...no cry baby VY. YOu can bet Matt Hasslebeck isn't throwin his shoulderpads into the stands anytime soon.
    2) And most importantly, we do not have the same OC/HC. Chris Palmer has shown he is not afraid to stretch the field. We have always been and always will be a run first team. But Chris Palmer play calling > Dinger play calling(thus far at least).

    D. Will hasn't shown me enough to make me believe he can be an adequate replacement in someone's absense. He's also battling an injury himself.

If you look back i've been bringing this up in a thread i created even before the season started about them needing to have WR depth because of Britt being injury prone. We knew from the get go that Britt has a very shaky history as far as injuries go.They probably should've kept Gage here anyway even if it was just for insurance in case Britt did have trouble.

I agreed with cutting Gage but at this point he is our best option, as long as he has stayed in shape.
