Agreed. If Hasselbeck made Nate Washington look better then imagine what he could do with Gage.

One thing about Matt is he spreads the ball around to everyone.

Justin Gage will be signed in the next couple of days, book it.

Think about it, he makes the most sense. This isn't baseball or some other sport where you can just plug someone in and expect them to produce. In the NFL it takes time and work to learn systems and playbooks, and in that respect Gage is by far the best option.

Obviously he won't come anywhere remotely close to replacing Britt. He is similar in stature to Britt, however, and as some of you guys mentioned, Gage might look significantly better than he has in recent years here with a decent QB throwing him the ball.

I know one thing, CJ and the O line's run blocking better wake the F up because I don't see Hasselbeck, Nate, our TE's, and an inconsistent defense carrying this team into the playoffs.

Moss or Gage would be great.

Sept. 26, 2011 5:46 p.m. - by Matt Rybaltowski - Titans lack depth at WR with Britt gone
With the loss of Kenny Britt for the season, the Titans are down to four receivers. Tennessee will likely add a receiver by Wednesday, coach Mike Munchak said. Munchak virtually ruled out the likelihood of Terrell Owens or Randy Moss signing with the team. Former Titans WR Justin Gage may be considered, Munchak added. Titans RapidReports

How do you figure that? Randy Moss wasn't in training camp. He also didn't seem to care about putting any effort whatsoever into learning any of the offense when he was on board last season.

Also, I know its basically an entirely new offense, but Gage would probably have some familiarity based on his years here under the Fisher regime. I'd imagine there is the slightest bit of overlapping of the terminology, playcalling, etc., especially given the lockout-shortened training camp.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Gage groupie, I think he's quite average. But he's had some moments in TN and is probably our best option at this point. Anyone remember him more or less keeping us in that last playoff game when the Ravens (intentionally) injured CJ?

Gage is no doubt our best option to come in and play immediately. But down the road there are 50 options better than him.

I say we give Tommie Campbell a try to stretch the field

    Finally something we agree on!

I think Gage is the obvious option as he can come in and contribute fully this Sunday. I like Moss more, and rightfully so, but he'd come in and need two or three weeks to be up to 'full speed'.

I wouldn't count Moss out, but I think we'll go with Gage.
