Honestly i'd like to see what Kirkendoll can do.

I prefer Michael Preston, all of our receivers left are shifty small receivers and we haven't got a big downfield guy. Kirkendoll is a lot like the guys we have left. I think we should sign Donnie Avery (if he is fit) and also call up Michael Preston. We will need to cut someone (probably O-Line) to make space, but it is needed. The more weapons we give Hasselbeck, the more successful we will be.

I think the Hass point is the key... if this were [unnamed QB here] then pulling up an unproven PS guy might be silly. But MH can get the ball to a receiver as long as he is on the same page with him... even if he's covered pretty well. So if we have PS players who have shown some promise, who have worked with Matt for a few months and who know the system then we should bring one up. Might still want to sign a vet if we can find the room.

Great points everyone. I agree about going to PS. Which of the 2 is taller? Faster?

Also, putting Cook at WR makes complete sense to me (but don't tell Paul Kuharsky). That's what he is anyway. That way, we can get Stevens and Graham on the field more. If you had told me last week we will have 2 huge plays from the TE's and neither would be from Cook I would have thought you were joking.

Heck, why not bring Kirkendoll up from the PS.

I think the 2 WRs Kirkendoll and Preston didn't get enough reps to prove themselves in the preseason. So why not take a chance with one of them over Gilyard, Avery, or Clowney?

I agree with you 100% about Hasselbeck not needing the star wideouts because he really does spread the ball around well. Graham scored last week and he is 3rd on our TE depth chart. Cook should get his shot in certain sets as a WR. He has shown he can go deep, though it was against the Ravens whose secondary has been suspect so far, but nevertheless he has shown he can get downfield and make a play. Not really sure how I feel about Donnie Avery, but we had only 4 receivers on the depth chart and you've gotta sign somebody or move someone up right? I think our passing game will be just fine even with Britt being out for the rest of the season.

P.S. at least we didn't bring Gage back :)
